Community Hour Floats /Float for $60 during these hours
We believe that everyone can benefit from regular flotation therapy, so we offer Community Hours every Thursday evening from 10 AM- 2 PM.
For centuries many people have focused on learning the healing qualities of water and salt in places like the Dead Sea. A float spa uses salt water to decrease physical pain and increase mental clarity which will improve your quality of life. The sea salt creates a feeling of Zero-gravity, which allows the user to float effortlessly ,letting your body relieve the pressure and tension off all your joints and muscles. The absences of senses of touch, sound, or sight and external stimulation lets your body experience a relaxing environment.
Our spacious float tanks allow you to leave the tank open or closed, have colored lights or darkness. Flotation therapy is very beneficial for athletes, expectant mothers, and anyone looking to improve their health or boost their creativity.

| Perfect Days follows Hirayama, a middle-aged man living a life of humble simplicity in Tokyo. His days are governed by a meticulous routine: he wakes at dawn to the sound of a street sweeper, tends to his maple saplings, and drives his small van through the city to his job cleaning public toilets. Despite the seemingly lowly nature of his work, Hirayama performs his duties with the grace and precision of a master craftsman, finding deep contentment in the order and service he provides. |
The core of Perfect Days is a celebration of presence and the dignity of labor\. Director Wim Wenders suggests that a meaningful life is not found in grand ambitions or material wealth\, but in the intentional appreciation of the here and now\. The film posits that true freedom comes from accepting life's limitations and finding 'perfection' in the subtle\, fleeting moments of harmony between humanity and nature\, encapsulated in the Japanese concept of Komerobi\. \|

Freya’s Teas – February Energetic Herbalism Workshop
Have you ever wondered what goes into a tea blend that not only tastes delicious, but also nourishes the body, mind, and soul?
Did you know that herbs have long been connected to the rhythms of the seasons, astrological signs, and chakras?
Join Sonja in this interactive workshop where you will craft your own tea blend infused with both the quiet wisdom of the winter season and a personal intention for the new year.
The workshop will begin with Freya’s Sacred Wintering Blend—a thoughtfully chosen mixture of herbs designed to gently nourish the body and calm the mind during winter’s stillness. Participants will mix the herbs themselves as Sonja explains the energetic and supportive qualities of each plant and why it was selected for this blend. You will be able to add an (optional) herb from a selection of 3 additional herbs, allowing each participant to further personalize their tea and intention.
Sonja’s approach to herbalism is deeply rooted in lived experience. Raised in a household where natural remedies were honored, she carried these traditions into her own family as she raised her children.
As her connection to plant medicine continued to deepen, Sonja pursued formal training in herbalism with renowned herbalist Rosemary Gladstar.
Today, sharing this knowledge has become a heartfelt passion—guiding others to reconnect with nature as a source of nourishment, balance, and gentle healing.
Workshop Experience
1. Seasonal Herbal Wisdom & Energetics
A guided exploration of three carefully chosen herbs whose energetic, spiritual, and wellness qualities align with February’s themes of rest, reflection, and intentional recalibration. We will observe how plants, like humans, are conserving nutrients and storing energy beneath the surface—preparing quietly for the growth and expression of spring.
2. Intuitive Tea Blending Ritual
Participants will be able to create, with Sonja’s assistance, a personalized tea blend using four seasonal herbs. With 3 pre-chosen herbs that embody nourishment, strength, and gentle activation and a fourth herb chosen by participants to reflect personal intention, weaving individual purpose into the collective energy of preparation and renewal.
3. Freya’s Teas Intention Ceremony
Through a guided tea ceremony, we will consciously infuse our blends with intention—honoring the plant allies, the season, and the inner work of rooting dreams before they emerge. This ritual invites presence, gratitude, and embodied connection with the medicine we have created.
4. Meditation & Integration
The gathering will close with a grounding meditation to anchor intentions into the physical and energetic body. This final integration offers space to reflect, receive, and gently call in the path unfolding ahead as we move toward the returning light of spring.
This workshop includes herbal instruction by Sonja and printed instructions to take home, supplies to make your own tea blend, tea ceremony, and guided meditation. Each participant will take home their own tea blend pouch with 15 servings (a $12.50 value).
Please note that this event has limit of 8 spaces in order to ensure a more intimate experience and requires prior prepayment registration to allow Sonja to gather the ingredients and supplies.

✨Written In The Stars With Amber - Astrology of Your New Beginning✨
Have you ever wondered how the planets impact our lives? Did you know that your time, date, and place of birth tell a unique story and that the movement of the planets provide insight into that story? Curious to know more? Then you won’t want to miss this workshop with Amber! Some big things are happening and she’s here to tell you all about what’s going on, what it all means, and how it impacts your Soul’s journey in human form.
**The Astrology of Your New Beginning**
*Explore how a once in millennia reset impacts your next chapter!*
On February 20, 2026, we will experience a rare and powerful astrological turning point that brings endings and new beginnings...
✨**Saturn and Neptune unite at 0° Aries**✨
*What does that mean?*
This extraordinary alignment has not occurred at this degree for several millennia and signals both a collective and personal invitation to release outdated structures and step into new possibilities. Saturn teaches us through structure, responsibility, and truth. Neptune invites surrender, vision, and spiritual awakening. Together, they dissolve outdated realities while helping us build new ones rooted in authenticity and purpose.
Historically, these cycles coincide with major collective shifts. The last Saturn–Neptune conjunction in 1989 mirrored the fall of the Berlin Wall, symbolizing the dissolution of barriers and the birth of new paradigms.
Join us for a supportive and engaging in-person workshop where we will learn more about what this means and explore how this rare cosmic event may be influencing YOUR life.
**Each participant will receive their personal birth chart and learn how this conjunction activates key areas of growth, transformation, and new beginnings. This class is welcoming to all levels, including those new to astrology.**
**Cost: $44**

Her spiritual journey was activated during her teen years while living in Athens, Greece through a series of out of body experiences. These experiences set her on a quest to gain a deeper understanding of who she is, of what consciousness is and, ultimately, how to harness the infinite knowledge available to us all. Since that time, she has continued through many years of mentorship and self-study and is passionate about helping others navigate their own awakening. It is her intent to be in service to those who quest for self knowledge and to help those who long to get in touch with their own joy -- so they may live that joy to the fullest ([www.ambernoelle.com](http://www.ambernoelle.com)).

VSDC Movie Watch Party, Discussion, and Vegan Food
Join the [Veg Society of DC (VSDC)](vsdc.org) for a pro-animal/vegan-themed Movie Watch Party on Saturday, March 21 at 3:00 pm in Fairfax VA. Socializing with vegan food beforehand and discussion about the movie afterwards is planned. THIS MONTH'S MOVIE WATCH PARTY WILL BEGIN AT 3 PM.
This month's movie is Wicked: For Good (Part 2). *Wicked: For Good* explores the untold story behind the witches of Oz, following two unlikely friends whose choices, values, and courage shape the world around them. It’s a powerful, visually stunning story about identity, loyalty, and what it truly means to be “good.” The movie is 2 hours and 17 minutes long.
The VSDC member hosts’ home in Fairfax has a small home theater that can accommodate around 20 people. This regular event is a fun way to learn, discuss, and meet vegans and vegan-curious people (Thanks to Mindy Kursban and David Kwiatkowski for hosting!).
FEE: The $12 fee will cover the hosts' expenses for the event, including food, beverages, and other associated costs. If there are any proceeds beyond these costs, which we don't expect, they will go towards VSDC's work to fulfill its mission. In order to ensure the success of the evening and limit late cancellations, **the fee is refundable until 5 days before the event. [NOTE the fee increase due to the increase in the cost of food]**
BECAUSE THERE IS A FEE FOR THIS EVENT, MEETUP DOES NOT ALLOW FOR A WAITLIST ONCE THE RSVPs ARE FULL. IF IT IS FULL, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CHECK MEETUP OCCASIONALLY TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS CHANGED THEIR RSVP.
FOOD: For our afternoon movie watch party, we’ll have mostly snack-style foods. Feel free to bring any vegan food or beverages to share.
WHO: All VSDC and Meetup members are invited. Bringing a non-vegan friend is encouraged.
WHEN: Saturday, March 21 **at 3:00 pm**\*\*\*. We'll eat and enjoy social time together first and begin watching the movie around 3:30. Please note this movie is longer than usual, so you can give yourself enough time to stay till the end.
WHERE: The home is in Fairfax VA 22033, near Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. It is 8 miles from the closest metro at either Vienna or Reston (Uber or Lyft would be necessary). **For safety and security reasons, the exact location will be emailed privately via Meetup about 2 days in advance to those who have rsvp'd Yes.** Please make sure your email is current in Meetup, your Meetup settings allow organizer messages, and check your spam if you don't receive the message.
PARKING: There is plenty of free parking within a 3-minute walk of the home.
\*You must register via this page to attend the event.\* A Pay Pal account is required to pay the $12. Because there is a cost for the event, Meetup doesn't have a waitlist for the movie.

Please ensure that all edible items are plant-based (no dairy, no cheese, no cow’s milk ice cream, no meat, no fish, no eggs). Thank you for your cooperation and respect for this. It is very important to us.
There is a gift shop where you can browse and warm up during the event.
Please post your pictures and tag Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary and VSDC! Stick around at the end for a group photo behind the barn.
If there is interest, we may go out to eat in one of our local vegan restaurants afterward.
We are limited to 30 volunteers, so please change your RSVP if you cannot attend.

Whether you’re a longtime member or brand new to the group, you are welcome here.
💛 **RSVP Accuracy Matters (Please Read):**
Because this event is limited to **only 8 attendees**, RSVP accuracy is extremely important. If you RSVP “Yes,” please plan to attend. If something comes up (we understand life happens!), simply update your RSVP to “No” as soon as possible.
When members RSVP and do not show, it is unfair to other women who wanted to attend and could have taken that spot. It also shows a lack of respect for the group and the venue, as often reservations have to be made, such as in this case. Please remember, two "No Shows" will result in removal from our group, and I don't want to see that happen to anyone. Our collective is built on kindness, consideration, and community—so please help us keep that culture strong. Members that attend events have a wonderful time, and I want each of you to have a fair opportunity to experience that.
As always, come as you are—and leave feeling a little more grounded, refreshed, and connected. 💛
More Than Just a Number: The Key to Sustainable Weight Loss and Longevity
Join us for an in-person, educational workshop that redefines weight loss through a **holistic, whole-body approach**. Rather than focusing solely on the number on the scale, we explore what truly drives sustainable fat loss, muscle preservation, and long-term health.
This workshop is ideal for those seeking a safe, sustainable approach to weight loss, who are tired of restrictive diets and weight cycling, who want to lose fat while preserving muscle, and who value education and understanding over quick fixes.
**Event Details**
**📅 Date:** March 5, 2026
**⏰ Time:** 5:30 – 7:00 PM
**📍 Location:** Golden Health Holistics, 46161 Westlake Dr, Ste 330, Sterling, VA 20165

* Why weight loss is more than calories in vs. calories out
* How the body metabolizes food, and why it matters
* Why the body stores fat, and why all fat is not the same
* The impact of excess body fat on metabolic and overall health
* The critical role of muscle in metabolism, aging, and longevity
* What it means to balance body composition (not just lose weight)
* How a holistic, supportive approach can help
