**How to Join the Session** ā
1. Sign up to the waitlist. Everyone is on the waitlist until the event is finalised.
2. Wait for us to change your RSVP to "Going".
3. Wait for the payment link to appear in the comments below. We usually post it 1-3 days before the session.
4. When your RSVP status has changed to "Going", you can pay for the ticket.

* New players should introduce themselves to the host.

* We do not use Meetup messages for communication.
* Payments are processed via the provided link (no cash, Pay ID, or bank transfers).
* Initially, everyone is on the **waitlist** until the event is finalised.

* Serve always starts from the right side.
* The serving team swaps positions after earning points.
* Points are only earned when serving.
* Games are typically played to 11 points, win by 2, and capped at 15 points.

**NEW** Volleyball Social Games - Intermediate (UNIMELB)
We are so back!
After almost 1 full year of unimelb sport centre being under repair and renovation, we are so excited to announce that our Sunday 1-4PM open play is back on!
**[[WHAT]]**
This session is for social volleyball games where there will be 3 teams of 6 per court across 3 courts. Please arrive on time as there will warm-up time provided for 20-25 minutes at 1 PM while the hosts set up the nets.
Games will be played to 15 points, teams will queue in and fill into the next game where possible after playing 2 games in a row.
**[[WHO]]**
The session is intended for social volleyball players at the intermediate level.
Players should:
* Understand basic volleyball rules (3 touches, foot faults, etc.)
* Call for the ball when playing and communicate well
* Ready to learn (or already know) 5-1 system
* Efficient in passing/hitting/setting/serving
* Have minimal unforced errors (missed serves, etc..)
* Have control over their play around the net and centre line
If you are uncomfortable with the base fundamentals, we recommend coming to our beginner training sessions on Friday 6-9PM or Saturday 2-5PM.
**[[HOW MUCH]]**
$21 card payment will be collected on the day via square (EFTPOS) payment.
Payments will be collected prior to game play during warm up.
**[[WHEN]]**
Sunday afternoon from 1 PM- 4 PM.
However, feel free to come early and stretch as Unimelb Sport is open earlier.
**Last minute dropouts and no-shows will have a zero-tolerance policy going forward.**
All players are expected to update their RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend.
This applies to players on the going list and the waitlist.
