**Alberto Ribas-Casasayas, Ana Luengo y Juan Carlos Usó presentan *Otras iluminaciones. Narrativa, cultura y psicodélicos*, un volumen colectivo que reúne ensayos de distintas autoras y autores en torno a la representación de la experiencia psicodélica en la producción cultural de habla hispana; explorando cómo estas experiencias han sido narradas, imaginadas y resignificadas en distintos contextos culturales.** Frente al llamado “renacimiento psicodélico”, que impulsa nuevos usos terapéuticos y recreativos y genera también nuevas formas de representación, los textos del volumen proponen una aproximación crítica desde la literatura y los estudios culturales. A partir del análisis de prácticas tradicionales y de sus transformaciones contemporáneas, así como de las estéticas psicodélicas en la narrativa actual, el libro examina este resurgir de los enteógenos y las tensiones que lo atraviesan: las relaciones de poder y los intereses económicos que estructuran su circulación global, su relevancia simbólica para pueblos ancestrales y para la configuración de imaginarios culturales, y su potencial como herramienta de transformación social y política. El libro incluye artículos de Iván Eusebio Aguirre Darancou; Andrés Cota Hiriart; Iván Díez de la Pava; Pedro Favarón Peyón; Bárbara Xavier França; José Emiliano Garibaldi Toledo; Ana Luengo; Lauren Mehfoud; Daniella Prieto; Alberto Ribas-Casasayas; Sergi Rivero-Navarro: Alfonso Romaniello; Juan Carlos Usó y Raimundo Viejo Viñas. **Ana Luengo** es catedrática de literatura española y latinoamericana en San Francisco State University desde 2015. Antes enseñó en la University of Washington y en la Universidad de Bremen. Se doctoró en la Universidad de Hamburgo con su libro *La encrucijada de la memoria. La memoria colectiva de la Guerra Civil Española en la novela contemporánea* (2004, 2a ed. 2012). Ha publicado numerosos artículos sobre memoria histórica, movimientos sociales, anticolonialismo y literatura policial, y coeditado cuatro volúmenes colectivos. Es autora del ensayo *Arqueología del esencialismo español. Leyes, genealogías y herencias* (2023), de la novela *Mi bien esquivo* (2023) y del poemario *Inconclusa sinestesia* (2024). Desde una colina californiana sigue escribiendo y viajando. **Alberto Ribas-Casasayas** es doctor en literatura comparada por Harvard University y Associate Professor de español y estudios latinoamericanos en Santa Clara University. Ha publicado numerosos trabajos académicos sobre lo espectral y sobre finanzas y deuda en literatura y cine de Latinoamérica y España. Coeditó el volumen colectivo *Espectros. Ghostly hauntings and the talking dead in transhispanic narratives* (2016) y el número especial *Spectral Mexico en iMex. Interdisciplinary Mexico* (2019). Es devoto de la psiconáutica y autor del ensayo *Luces y sombras del renacimiento psicodélico* (2023), de libre acceso en Ulises Ediciones. Actualmente está trabajando en su primera novela. **Juan Carlos Usó** es licenciado en Geografía e Historia (Historia Contemporánea) por la Universitat de València y doctor en Sociología por la UNED. Ha desarrollado una trayectoria profesional vinculada a la investigación histórica, la sociología y la cultura de las drogas y también ha sido bibliotecario del Ayuntamiento de Castelló de la Plana entre 1983 y 2024. En el ámbito docente, fue profesor asociado de Sociología de la delincuencia en la Universitat Jaume I y, desde 1999, profesor del Máster en Drogodependencias de la Universitat de Barcelona. Es autor de numerosos libros de referencia sobre psicodelia, drogas, cultura popular, disidencias sexuales y ocio nocturno en España. Colabora habitualmente en *Cáñamo* y *Ulises*. Ha recibido el Premio Paco Pascual (2001) y el Premio Active (2003) por su labor de difusión social. ### DESCRIPTION A small, **in-person guided therapeutic circle in Barcelona** for people who feel they are at a turning point in their lives and wish to engage in conscious self-development — psychologically, spiritually, and practically. The circle is **Jungian-inspired**, working from lived experience, intuition, and reflection. We explore ideas such as shadow, projection, and individuation — not as theories to study, but as experiences we recognize in our own lives. This is a space to explore and work with fear, shame, confidence, and authenticity. This circle is held from a holistic and socially aware perspective, recognizing that personal processes are **inseparable from cultural, social, and political contexts, and affirming all identities, bodies, and expressions.** This circle is for people who: • feel drawn to depth and self-awareness • resonate with symbolic, intuitive, and mystical ways of understanding life • want to transform inner insight into concrete weekly action • are willing to take responsibility for their choices • believe in meaning, hope, and transformation Mysticism here is **grounded and embodied** — a devotion to life’s mystery without escaping reality. This is **not coaching or teaching**, and I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist. The circle is a **therapeutic and reflective space** that considers the personal, relational, spiritual, and creative dimensions of life. Personatges de llegenda o malvats?”*** Amb la **Ruta Bandolera d’Alcover** descobrirem una etapa d’esplendor i riquesa al poble. Però també la seva cara més fosca: **una autèntica màfia instaurada a Catalunya des del s. XVI.** Nyerros, Cadells, Morells i Voltors…*bandolers que prenien el que volien amb força i sang*. El fet bandoler no és únic d’Alcover, però: *com i per què es van instal·lar a la vila?* *Us agradaria saber on acaba la realitat i comença el mite*? Farem un tomb per la història del poble a l’època renaixentista, passant pels punts patrimonials més destacats del nucli antic d’Alcover. Posarem llum a les ombres del bandolerisme català. Here’s how it works: For just two hours, multiple tables of people set aside the need to "win" and instead focus on sharing, listening, and connecting. Guided by experienced table hosts, we'll tell our stories, try to understand each other, and practice being in community with those with different views or backgrounds. **At this dinner, participants will get to choose between three different topics, including some current events.** Topics could range from the political, to the spiritual, to the philosophical, to the off-the-wall - but no matter which table you choose to sit at, you can be sure it'll be like no dinner conversation you've had before! HOW IT WORKS : We will try to assign tables for each represented languages and will direct attendees to their respective tables accordingly. Rules to abide : 1\. Event is 21\+ \(bring ID\)\. 2\. Be respectful to your counterparts and give them a chance to exchange with others as well\. 3\. We all are native speakers of one or two languages and be willing to help others and try to accommodate as much as possible\. 4\. If you don't speak the other person's required language\, LEAVE THEM ALONE\. 5\. Rude or aggressive members are removed from the group at an organizers discretion\. 6\. This is a face\-to\-face language exchange event\. DO NOT try to arrange an online meeting\, by using the comment box or direct message\. 7\. Most of our members complained about people writing in the comment box\. Since it sends notification to all attendees\. If you have any questions\, send a message to the organizers\. Don't write in the comment box\. 8\. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for solicitation\. We don't allow anyone to run their own agenda at the Event\. If you are interested to promote/sponsor/collaborate; contact us via \(info@merevents\.com\)\. 9\. When you get there\, we will greet you and take you to your respective group\. 10\. Don't be shy of your local languages\. We have diplomates assigned to different countries\, who would love to practice your languages\. 11\. Be patient for the first 30 minutes\, up until we form your respective language group\.
 12\. We will have a registration station and check you in\. 13\. This is mainly a social for Intermediate/Advanced/Native Speakers\. It is not as such to learn a language\.
