Spanish learners of all levels and native Spanish speakers are welcome. **FAQ** **Who is this for?** From Beginners to native Spanish speakers, all are welcome! **I am very Beginner. Should I still come?** Yes! The activities are designed so that people of all levels can follow along. If it ends up being too challenging or if you don’t understand something, then pat yourself on the back, because that means you are learning! The hardest part is showing up. If you are feeling a bit scared, I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and show up for yourself tonight! :) **What will we do?** We typically do one activity that encourages you to use Spanish to mingle with others, and a second activity that is a table or board game. We keep things light, fun and silly! **Do I have to drink?** Nope! The focus of this event is speaking Spanish. A bar is present if you would like to partake. **Is this event free?** Yes! Place them low\, not high \-** Gently place the flowers on the ground, never at head level or above the monk. **3\. Do not block the path \-** Set the flowers slightly to the side or just ahead of where the monk will step, allowing him to pass naturally without changing his stride. **4\. Kneel or bow if appropriate \-** If culturally appropriate, kneel or bow briefly after placing the flowers. Keep movements calm and unhurried. **5\. Maintain silence \-** Avoid speaking, calling attention, or making eye contact unless the monk initiates it. **6\. Step back mindfully \-** After placing the flowers, step back to allow space. Let the offering speak for itself. **7\. Just as one cannot pay nature to sprout a seed, in the same way, Sahaja Yoga is a living process that cannot be paid for. **What should I wear?** We do not have a dress code, but recommend any decent, comfortable wear or smart casual wear. **What do you typically do at a workshop or event?** Our events are varied and diverse ranging from music and meditation to cultural and spiritual exhibitions and other creative explorations. This group is for anyone who wants to explore Buddhist meditation in a relaxed and supportive setting. Each session includes a short meditation, a simple teaching from Buddhist psychology, and an open discussion about how these ideas show up in everyday life. While our foundation is Buddhist practice, we love weaving in wisdom from other traditions whenever it helps us grow, find peace, and support each other. Members of our community come from many different backgrounds, and you do not need to consider yourself a Buddhist to attend. All are welcome. The session runs from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., with doors open from 6:30 to 9:00. Come early or stay after if you’d like to enjoy some quiet reflection or casual conversation with the community.
