You can bring snacks/food to the venue and the bar will be open. A wide range of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are available for purchase at very reasonable prices. The session is free because I want to make these sessions accessible to as many people as possible, but there is a donation box if you like our sessions and want to contribute to our operating expenses. Meeting place Venue will be the Flemington-Kensington RSL, 25-27 Rankins Road, Kensington, VIC 3031. How to Get There Train - From the city, catch a Craigieburn Line train and get off at Newmarket Station, which is 3 stops from Southern Cross Station or 2 stops from North Melbourne. Exit the station, walk 200 metres to Racecourse Road. Head east (away from the station) along Racecourse Road for 250 metres. Then turn right into Rankins Road. The RSL is about 100 metres down Rankins Road, on your left. Tram - The No. 57 tram from the city to West Maribyrnong stops about 200 metres away from the RSL. Get off at stop 25 (Wellington St & Racecourse Rd). Head east along Racecourse Rd and turn right into Rankins Road. Driving - Park along Rankins Road or Parsons Street (around the corner). If you park along Rankins Road outside the RSL, there is a 2-hour limit. But if you park further down Rankins Road (one block further), there is no limit. How we conduct our sessions For the first 20 minutes we usually play very easy songs which are suitable for beginners (even complete beginners), and serve as a warm-up for more experienced players. Beginners, try to attend this part of the session, it's the most important bit for you! The next 30 minutes is usually devoted to learning new songs, according to the theme of week. There will be a 10-minute break in the middle and the last hour is spent playing songs that participants pick from a list. Important If you are late, please use the meetup app to send messages to me. If you can't attend at the last minute, please change your RSVP or send a message. Its gut-wrenching despair is matched by a strange optimism, a powerful embrace of the possibilities of life and love that stays with you long after the end credits roll.” “Buckley’s performance is ferocious and astounding, starting off strong and somehow picking up power as the movie goes along.” The New York Times. Vision Boarding: fun new year's goal setting workshop
Vision Boarding: fun new year's goal setting workshop
## Neurospicy Vision Boarding ✨ **Create a visual reminder of the life you want to build.** This is a relaxed session where we’ll spend time creating **vision boards** together. A **vision board** is a large visual collage that represents how you want your life to look and feel. People usually use images and words from magazines, but drawing, writing, and doodling are just as welcome. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s to create something you can **take home and put somewhere visible**. A reminder of what you’re aiming toward, especially on days when motivation is low. The light woo bit: Seeing your intentions regularly helps keep them top-of-mind and easier to act on. Not magic. Just attention doing its thing. *** ### What Happens (High Level) 1. Short welcome and explanation of what a vision board is 2. Open time to create your board 3. Plenty of space to chat, body-double, or work quietly 4. You head home with your board and decide where it lives No presentations. No step-by-step facilitation. Sharing is optional. *** ### How People Usually Make Vision Boards Traditionally, people: * Cut images and words out of magazines * Stick them onto a large sheet of paper * Arrange things until it “feels right” You can also: * Draw * Write phrases or keywords * Doodle badly (genuinely fine) * Mix all of the above There’s no right way. If it makes sense to you, it’s working. *** ### 🗓 When & Where **📍 Sandringham Library** **🕜 1.30pm – 3.30pm** Stay for the whole session or drop in for part of it. *** ### What’s Provided * A3 paper * A small selection of magazines * A few pens and pencils (but not many so please BYO) *** ### 👜 What to Bring (Optional but Encouraged) If you want more choice or personal relevance: * **Scissors** (we only have 2 sets) * Magazines or printed images/quotes (You can print cheaply at the library.) * Your favourite pens or markers * Snacks or drinks that help you focus It’s also fine to bring nothing and just use what’s there but you might just have 1-2 pens available. *** ### 🧩 Who This Is For * Neurodivergent folks (ADHD, Autistic, AuDHD, self-identified welcome) * People who think better visually * Anyone who benefits from body-doubling * Folks who want inspiration *and* momentum No creative skills or clear goals required. *** ### ❓FAQs **How is this different from SMART goals?** Vision boarding is about direction and motivation. SMART goals are about structure and execution. Many people use a vision board first, then translate parts of it into SMART goals later. **What do I do after I finish my vision board?** Take it home and put it somewhere you’ll see it regularly. Over time, you can: * Notice which parts still resonate * Turn specific elements into goals or habits * Update or remake it when things change **Do I need to know what I want before coming?** No. The process often helps clarify that. **Do I have to talk or share my board?** No. Chatting and sharing are optional. **Will my visions come true?** Only if you know *the secret* (which is that dreams without action stay dreams). **Is the space accessible?** Sandringham Library is accessible. Message ahead if you want to check anything specific.

Bitcoin Montgomery for Women and Friends
Bitcoin Montgomery for Women and Friends
Join us for our first meetup! We will have a discussion on Fiat vs Bitcoin, a little bit of learning and discussions that are important to the group. This a social group so bring your questions and curiosity, prepared to listen and share. Too often, women are left out of the conversation while they prepare to live longer, care for more people and are the heart of any community. Wouldn't it be great if we could be more educated on ways to beat inflation, have more choices, and be prepared for the changes to come? Please bring your questions, so that we can plan topics for future meet-ups.
