Kick off the New Year! Keto, Low-Carb and Fasting Happy Hour. Thurs., Jan 22nd
Hi everyone,
Let’s start the new year strong! Join us for a fun and relaxed **Keto, Fasting, and Low-Carb Meetup** on **Thursday, January 22nd at 5:00 PM** at **Founding Farmers in Tysons, VA**. We’ll be gathering in the **bar area** during happy hour, and you’re welcome to enjoy snacks, drinks, or a full dinner—whatever fits your style.
**Getting there is a breeze:** Founding Farmers is just one block from the Tysons metro, and validated parking is available for drivers (just be sure to have your license plate number for the validation).
To make it easy to spot us, I’ll have **either a bouquet of red flowers or red balloons** at the table—just look for the pop of red!
Whether you’re committed to the lifestyle, curious and ready to learn more, or looking to hop back on the wagon after the holidays, this meetup is a great chance to connect with others, share tips, and make new friends. Expect good conversation, lots of encouragement, and a welcoming group.
Hope to see you there and kick off 2026 on the right foot!
Warmly,
Bryn

Just bring your instrument(Electric), no need to bring an amp we have all of that.
Do not bring a pedal board with a bunch of pedals. The amps are dialed in for blues, trust me it's all there.
Drums are here already, very basic kit. If you want to bring cymbals or any other drum gear, please show up early to set up. Also please be aware that other people are going to play the kit as well.
Let's Meetup for Lunch & then go for a Walk-54*!
Let's enjoy the last semi-warm day that we'll have before the predicted storm, this coming weekend. After we eat, we'll take a walk where Belleview Marina is, starting at Dyke Marsh.

Pro-Animal Meetup
Guest Speaker: Hunter Raab, Vice President of the DC Bird Alliance presenting "How Artificial Light Impacts Bird Migration…and What You Can Do to Help."
Post-PAM Animal Action: TBD
Life has evolved to depend upon light in many ways. Be it migration, circadian rhythms, habitat selection, mating…you name it really, the effects artificial light has on life is vast and unfortunately overlooked. Fortunately however, we already have the tools to help!
Please be sure to RSVP here! https://stampede.proanimal.org/events
Join your fellow animal lovers and DC Animal Protection to discuss what’s happening in the animal advocacy scene in DC! This series is a weekly meetup, with guest speakers from all of the major animals rights orgs. We’ll host non-profits such as Pro-Animal Future, International Council for Animal Welfare, DC Voters for Animals, The Humane League, Mercy for Animals and Direct Action Everywhere as well as local grassroots groups like the DC Coalition Against Foie Gras and sanctuaries. We’ll also have special sessions related to health, nutrition and mindfulness!
We encourage anyone who is interested in helping animals to attend- no need to be vegan! Come learn about our rich variety of local activism. With protests, outreach, wheat-pasting, signature collecting, leafletting, lobbying, tabling etc. there’s something to match everyone’s comfort level and skill set.
Coffee, bagels and community will be provided! Feel free to bring any extra treats to share (no animal products please.) Hope to see you soon! :)
Note: Unfortunately, animals are not allowed at our venue. Please leave your furry friends at home.

Whether you are a pickleball pro or have never played before, come join your fellow vegan and vegan-aspiring singles at Kraken for a pickleball afternoon! We will be playing doubles, but you don't need a partner to join (the whole point is to meet new people)!

Kraken does have other activities, including roller skating, ping-pong, and darts. Attendees are welcome to play the other games, but you will have to pay extra.
**As a VSDC singles event, this event is for vegan and vegan-aspiring adults who do not currently have a romantic partner.** People of any sexual orientation may join as long as they are single. Anyone 21 or older is welcome. You do not need to be looking to date; you can just come socialize with other singles.

The nearest Metro station is Rhode Island Ave on the Red Line. There is a parking lot as well.
