Soundness Check Circle | Mental Health Support
Hi, I am Zoe, a software engineer by profession. I have been running this support group since a shortly after covid đ
The location is confusing if you route from google maps. Please note that itâs at Choriner Str. 12, 10119 Berlin. Do note the street and house number to reach âïž the bar next to it is always closed so please donât get confused by it.
What to expect in the circle:
\- The first 45 minutes we can spend to get coffee and settle down
\- On a volunteer basis\, each of the attendee will then get some time to share things that they are dealing with\, perhaps for 2\-5 minutes
\- You can skip sharing even if you are in a circle\, there's no force \(and there will never be\) on you to share\, staying silent and listening is completely ok
\- Attendees can recommend books or reading material if they like
///// âŠ.. ///////
Code of conduct: đ
Please arrive on time.

Refrain from giving unsolicited advice; what works for you may not for others.
Respect privacy during this dialogue and beyond. What is said during the Meetup is not meant to be repeated outside.
Notify the facilitator if you feel distressed or upset, or if you find someone's behavior inappropriate. Feel free to step out if you need to.
Last but not least, have respect for everyoneâs religious / cultural / nationality / race / gender / sexual / diverse backgrounds. âïž
Mental Health Discussion Circle
Life gets heavy sometimes â and we believe no one should carry that weight alone.
This discussion circle is a supportive space where we gather to speak openly about our struggles, mental health journeys, and personal challenges â without fear of judgment. Whether youâre facing anxiety, burnout, grief, or just feeling lost, this is a time for real talk, real people, and real healing.
â©Weâre not therapists or professionals â weâre humans navigating life, just like you. What we offer is empathy and understanding.
â©What to expect:âšâą Respectful conversationsâšâą Listening without pressure to fixâšâą Optional prompts to get things flowingâšâą A calm, welcoming environment
â©Come as you are. You donât need to have it all figured out.
â©The event takes place every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month and is donation based.
If possible, please consider helping us cover the location and Meetup expenses with a small contribution. :)

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease.
This walk is a simple reset.
We meet in Berlinâs Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment.
No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening.
If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk.
âš **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):**
* A short arrival and orientation
* A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation)
* One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress
* Optional reflection in pairs or small groups
* A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life
đ¶**Who this is for:**
* Professionals, creatives, and people in transition.
* People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance.
* Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical.
* Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation.
đ **Practical notes:**
* Duration: 60-90 minutes
* Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
* No prior experience needed
* Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused
đ§ **Facilitator:**
My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction.
đ€ **Why Chitta Walks?**
Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense.
Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world.
The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it.
đż **Possible effects:**
A calmer nervous system.
Clearer attention.
A felt sense of being more present in your body.
Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions.
A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city.
**Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**
Moving Through Sound, Settling Into Resonance 24.05
A somatic listening and sound journey ·
This workshop begins in the body.
Through subtle, guided movement â weight shifting, breath, attention to sensation â we turn listening inward. Into the body. Into the space between sounds. Into the micro-movements we rarely notice. A geophone microphone picks up the vibrations of movement in the space, amplifying them back into the room. You may hear your own weight shifting. You may hear someone else's. The boundary between the two begins to dissolve.
The sound doesn't create connection. It reveals it.
From movement we move into stillness. Into deep collective listening. Into sound.
Resonant instruments â singing bowls, gong, chimes, tuning forks â meet field recordings of the natural world. The room settles into a full sound bath, arriving into a body that has already been opened by movement.
This workshop is rooted in experimental sound, deep listening, and the simple act of paying attention. It is playful, embodied, and quietly surprising. You will leave with a different relationship to the sounds around you â and probably to the women you made them with.
No experience needed. No performance required. Just curiosity and a willingness to arrive.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. All instruments and materials provided.
Beneath the noise. A deeper listening.

*Who is this meetup for:*
1\. Internationals who want to practice German or any other language\.
2\. Germans who want to improve their language skills\.
3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\.
*What you can expect:*
1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\.
2\. A Walk & Talk to break the ice\.
3\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\.
*important:* This event is at the same time and meeting location like the "Asian Languages & Culture Exchange æ„æŹèȘ, íê”ìŽ, æ±èŻ" one. So I'm basically organizing 2 events at the same time which means that you can expect way more people than on the list.
***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
âA personâs name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.â - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety

Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation donât just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance".
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
