Join me to experience '50 Years of ABC Classic' a performance described as a 'musical love letter' to ABC Classic radio, celebrating 50 years of classical music on our national airways. We will find a spot on the lawn to take in the symphony, and you can byo drinks or snacks for a picnic or grab something delicious from the food trucks available. The program begins at 5.30pm with a curtain raiser by the Melbourne Youth Orchestra. Then at 7.30pm the concert begins, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be performing all-Australian works from composers and artists that will take us to all parts of our Country. Hello piano players: I hope you can attend our next meeting – it will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1 – 5 pm at my house, 5612 Cromwell Drive, Bethesda, MD 20816. I will open the doors at 12:30 if you would like to warm up on the piano. I would like to start at 1:00 pm so please show up a few minutes early. Also, reach out to a friend and work up a duet – they are fun and always welcome. In the past we have had duets with two pianos, with singers, and with the clarinet, and they bring a nice variety of music to our meetings. We will have snacks, finger food, light drinks, beer and wine, but your donations of food and drink are always welcome. Parking is on the street near my house. I hope to see you on February 28th.
