Starting at The Flying Horse Pub in Oxford Street we will take a walk around the more colourful and brightly lit parts of London. The task for this walk is to emulate the type of cinematic colour shots inspired by films. I would suggest to use something like Kodak Vision 3 500T or Cinestill 800T. To get some good bokeh you will be best advised to use a lens with a wide aperture. After the walk we'll reconvene to a local pub for some socialising. **Saturday - Intermediate+ (2 hours) @ Mulberry** Come and join our friendly badminton club for a fun and competitive doubles session at Mulberry Sports & Leisure Centre in Whitechapel! **Extra Hour Option (11:00 – 12:00)** Book as space for the add-on session for **£6.00**, or just **£3.00** if you’re also booked into the 9:00–11:00 or 12:00–14:00 session on the same day. **How it works** * Book your spot here on Meetup – spaces are limited. * Pay by bank transfer before the session – bank details are provided below. * Bring your own racket and non-marking indoor shoes. Feather shuttles are included. **Level** This is an **Intermediate+ session**. You should be able to play clears, smashes, drops, drives, and net shots consistently in games. All players **must be at the right level** for this session. Badminton levels vary between clubs, so we strongly recommend checking out our **Instagram page** to see what *we* class as **Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, and High Intermediate** before booking. My approach is allowing one-on-one time with the model in a small group with a laissez-faire style, not intruding on the creative process or micromanaging. I want to be helpful without choking your creativity. People with different experience levels mix in the group, so I will ask how I can help, where you are at in your photography and if there is anything you wish to improve or if there is anything you like to try. Perhaps you just want to get your camera out, get confidence, practice and shoot, and that's fine too! If you want to test or learn something, I will help you; if you need advice, I will help you too, and if you just want to shoot and have a good time, that's great too! You can take a screen shot of the release free of charge on the day of the shoot, if you need a copy afterwards there is a £10 admin fee. Hi thrifters! Happy New Year! This month, we'll be collecting kids' clothes for Clothesline in Arlington, thanks to POCs Ben and Sharalyn. This awesome org focuses on getting free clothing to local kids facing economic hardships, and in particular makes sure they're all set for school. Grab a friend or two and make it a party! Run starts promptly at 9:45 am and follows a 1.5 mile loop around the lake. Do however many loops you like! Run at your own pace. After the run, we'll meet at the Brew House for a beer or coffee and BREAKFAST pretzels! Those cannot be anything but delicious. See you there.
