EN
We meet to draw at the café with the large window front. If you prefer, you can also go to the viaduct to go drawing in the market hall, which is only a stone's throw away from the café.
W'll meet at 2 pm inside the Coffeeshop.
*As always, bring your own sketchbook, pens and if you have, a small stool. Everyone is welcome who likes to draw and enjoys sharing their drawing(s) at the end with everybody. I look forward to seeing you soon.*
Board Game Night
Hey! We’d like to plan a new board game evening. I think it’ll be easier to find a date that works for everyone and to communicate via WhatsApp, since this Meetup thing wants me to pay to organize events or host larger groups. Please join the group using this link: [https://chat.whatsapp.com/FmiiGg7auYr7Q5RZPEGhdT](https://chat.whatsapp.com/FmiiGg7auYr7Q5RZPEGhdT)

Swimming in the Limmat
Hello dear Challengers,
if you wish to join the Limmat swim and strengthen your body, join me to that swim. I will give you a short introduction on the "why" you should do it and then you will tell me if you want to do it. I am a trained lifeguard (SLRG), I did also the Hypothermia Module and I am swimming in the cold since 2015.
Take with you all the necessary to swim, flip/flop, safe buoy (something like the orange donut here below, if you have it) and a Thermos.

Freestyle Fundamentals
This group will have **two or three instructors**, making it possible to split the group depending on what interests and progress level each student has.
Freestyle (tricks, jumps, rails, park) learned correctly minimizes risk, and avoids a lot of the worst falls early on if you get the right information and have someone to catch you on your first attempts. In this group we welcome people from different stages of progression, and focus on specific fundamentals starting from edge control and switch riding (For those less experienced with it) up to rails and boxes in the park (for those less experienced in park).
This is a 'more feedback' style of group, where things will go slower so that you can systematically repeat the fundamentals. You'll have the option to practice either in the park or on the slopes. To make the most of it, please enjoy the group dynamic where we stay close together, and choose certain adaptations on the fundamentals to practice together.
### Prerequisites
* At a minimum, you should at least be comfortable with 'breaking' turns (i.e. turning then slowing down, then the next turn and slowing down again, and so on).
* To participate in park, you should have solid edge control (for example, be able to handle flat sections by holding an edge).
Bouldering at Boulderlounge Schlieren
Going bouldering in the [indoor climbing gym](https://www.boulderlounge.ch/schlieren) in Schlieren. All levels are welcome. Mostly for fun, but can't hurt to share some tips and advice. We meet at the reception near the sofas and tables! See you there! If you come a bit later try to find us inside the gym!
**For first timers**
Before the event, please fill in [this form](https://216.webclimber.de/register), (you can also find it [here](http://www.boulderlounge.ch/schlieren/preise/) -> scroll down to "Voranmeldung"), then you can get through the checkin faster :) You will need to show it when you buy your entry.
**Quick information**
* They have lockers but you need to bring your own lock (you can apparently get one against depot)
* Entry fee is 23chf (unlimited time)
* You can rent bouldering shoes for 7chf

ZH3 Hash # 1706: Winterfest Redux, more pain, less gain!
Hares (someone to set the route) are Slippery Digit and Squatty Potty. Come join us for a Saturday Winterfest Revival Run!
**Where**:
Uitikon! What a con indeed. We will chase the highs and more highs, surrounded hopefully still by beautiful snow and views of the mountains in the surrounding area of Uitikon.
Meeting point is the Migros parking lot right next to the Zentrum Waldegg Bus stop, check meetup maps for directions.
**When:**
We'll meet at 1:50 pm to start at 2:00 pm.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.
**All Welcome:**
If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.
For more about Zürich Hash House Harriers, check out [www.zh3.ch](http://www.zh3.ch/) ( [http://www.zh3.ch/](http://www.zh3.ch/) )

Beaverdam Reservoir Park - cold weather edition
Let's hike Beaverdam. It's a 7-8 mile hike, with some slight elevation. I like this trail because it has some woods and some wide open spaces. We can stop and take pics of the dam, the lake, the woods, electrical towers, anything you want!
Plenty of parking.
if you attend this event, you are attesting that you hold yourself responsible for your own safety, and release the organizers from same.
Friday Night Fitness Skate
Join us for the Friday Night Fitness Skate! A 12 or 8 mile fitness skate that skates the same route each week so you will know the route and pavement hazards (since it is dark) and be able to work on form, endurance or speed as the cold wind is pushing against you! ;) The route has nice long stretches of uninterrupted skating, open roads with very few cars and the regroups are short and infrequent.
We will meet at Freedom Plaza at 7pm as long as it is not raining, snowing and the pavement is not wet or icy. We’ll warm up with a skate to the Capital and then skate along the mall and museums to the National Monument. We will then head to the Lincoln Memorial through the World War II Memorial.
From the Lincoln we will proceed to Haynes Point down Ohio Drive with the option to take the 3 mile Haynes Point loop (12 mile total skate) or practice stops or stunts at the regroup spot while others skate the loop (8.5 mile total skate.)
The skate is mostly flat on good pavement with a small slope coming down from the Washington Monument and a 40 yard small slop from the Lincoln to Ohio Drive and a couple patches here and there.
The wind can be very strong and cold especially on Ohio Drive and Haynes Point as we skate adjacent to the water.
Please feel free to jazz up your gear with lights, I wear a helmet bike light (since it is pretty dark) and a set of body lights. Most of the regulars skate with lighted wheels for fun! Wear your lights so you have fun, can see and be seen!
In case of bad weather, I will update this post via the comment section around 6pm on Friday.
Of course, all skating is at your own risk.
Hope you will come join us!
