Become a Landlord/lady. Werde Vermieter:in. MON THR 6pm-7pm Upper West
We make landladies and landlords. They buy a flat and pay just 1/4. Tenants and tax cuts pay 3/4. It's not a trick. It's government policy. Our Federal Governments, past and present, want taxpayers to become landlords and landladies, buy property, rent it out to tenants and enjoy passive income later. Come check this out. No strings attached. No sales. Just a meet and greet for orientation. And an after work drink.
Kucken kostet nichts.

Workshop: Bindungstypen / Beziehungstypen, Deine Freundschaften & Beziehungen
**💶 Wertschätzungsbeitrag: 10-20 Euro (nach eigenen Möglichkeiten)**
.
.
💬 **Agenda**
Folgendes haben wir vor:
18:15 Uhr - Doors Open & Ankommen
18:30 Uhr - Start des Workshops
* Wir lernen uns kennen
* Eine Einführung zu den Bindungsstilen
* Ein Fragebogen zu Deinem Bindungsstil - in Beziehungen oder Freundschaften. (Dein Ergebnis bleibt anonym, wenn Du willst)
* Fragen & Antworten
* Das Thema vertiefen
* die eigenen Beobachtungen aus den letzten Wochen verarbeiten
* sich mit neuen & alten Bekannten über das Thema weiter austauschen.
.
.

Secrets No More: Spring K8s Mastery + Kotlin Glow
Join us for the next Spring User Group Berlin meetup! This time, we are bridging the gap between rock-solid operations and developer joy.
**Talk 1: Secure and Seamless: Injecting Kubernetes Secrets into Spring Applications**
*Speaker: Dmitriy Goi, Deutsche Bank*
Look, we’ve all done it. You need a database password, so you throw it into an environment variable and call it a day. It works, it’s fast, and your app starts up. But then the security audit hits, or your credentials rotate and suddenly your logs are full of connection errors because your Spring context is stuck in the past.
At Deutsche Bank, "good enough" usually isn't. I’ve spent the last few years moving Spring apps into Kubernetes and realizing that most tutorials lie to you. They show you the easy way, not the way that survives in production.
I’m going to show you why environment variables are a security trap and how mounting secrets as files actually works (and where it breaks). We’ll get into the mess of secret rotation, why you probably need a CSI driver or an External Secret operator, and how to make Spring Boot actually pick up those changes without a manual restart.
**About the speaker:**
A passionate software engineer at Deutsche Bank, Dmitriy brings 8 years of development experience to his focus on modernizing application development. He specializes in Spring Boot and Kubernetes and is currently helping lead the charge on migrating key applications to a hybrid cloud environment, emphasizing secure and efficient engineering practices.

**Talk 2: Adopting Kotlin for Spring 7: Cleaner Code, Fewer Bugs, Some Tradeoffs**
*Speaker: Daniil Tsarev, JetBrains*
Kotlin is becoming a first-class citizen in the Spring ecosystem, especially with the latest features in Spring 7. In this talk, we'll explore how easy it is to adopt Kotlin in existing Spring projects, what tangible benefits it brings to everyday development, and where some edges still are. Expect practical examples, real-world tradeoffs, and an honest look at whether Kotlin is the right choice for your Spring stack.
**About the speaker:**
Daniil Tsarev is a Software Developer at JetBrains with over 10 years of experience working with the Spring ecosystem.
Previously was developing a Spring-based full-stack framework for enterprise solutions.
Now passionate about developer productivity, he’s dedicated to creating tools and solutions that make developers’ lives easier.
**📅 Agenda**

Let's Meet Up and Practice Languages
(Inside event) Are you learning a language but can't find people to practice with? Do you enjoy helping people speak your native language? If so, meet with us to make friends and have some good conversations.
We begin by sharing the languages we speak fluently and the ones we are learning. Then we split into groups and speak! You can switch groups as often as you'd like. The goal is to speak about interesting, thought-provoking topics - not just the typical introductions we usually make.
At our last meetups we spoke: German, Ukranian, English, French, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, Arabic, Norwegian, Icelandic, and Dutch. Can you help us make this list bigger? We hope to see you there and welcome ANY and ALL languages. (However, we cannot guarantee we will have a speaking partner for all languages).
Looking forward to see you all! 😁
GenAI transforming Engineering: Agents and Guardrails [IN-PERSON!]

The main entrance is on the west-side of the building (towards Uber Arena). Participants should register at the Helpdesk, and will be picked up from there.
📝 **Agenda:**
**18:00 – Doors Open** Pizza, drinks, and networking
**18:30 – Opening** Short welcome and announcements from the organizers (5 min)
### **18:35 – Talk #1**
**Building Blocks of Modern Code Agents: Reusable Skills and Role-Based Subagents**
**[Alexey Grigorev](https://www.linkedin.com/in/agrigorev) — DataTalk.Club**
A practical map of modern code agent types and the two key building blocks that make them reliable in real-world development workflows.
Code agents appear in many forms today: chat-based assistants, cloud agents running CI-like workflows, and IDE or terminal agents embedded directly into development environments. In this talk, we’ll map these main categories, discuss what each is good at, and highlight where they commonly fail.
We’ll then zoom in on two core building blocks used in modern agent tooling:
* **Skills / playbooks** — reusable, step-by-step workflows (e.g. understand the repo → implement a change → run checks → produce a clean diff)
* **Subagents** — specialized roles such as planner, implementer, reviewer, and tester that split complex work into focused, reliable steps
**Format:** 20 min talk + 10 min Q&A
### **19:05 – Talk #2**
**Guardrailed Agents at Scale: Zalando’s Support Agent for Incident Triage and Stakeholder Q&A**
**[Ivan Potapov](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ivan-sur/)**, **[Saugandh Karan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/saugandh-karan/)**[ ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/saugandh-karan/)— Zalando SE
We’ll share how Zalando built and shipped a specialized internal support agent that helps engineering teams answer stakeholder questions and triage operational alerts — without drowning in context or compromising production safety.
The agent enriches user requests with relevant observability context (metrics, logs, traces, recent deploys), summarizes what matters, and produces a severity assessment with recommended next steps.
A key challenge is context explosion: pulling “all the data” quickly becomes noisy, slow, and risky. We’ll walk through the architecture patterns and guardrails that keep the system production-ready:
* Retrieval and ranking strategies
* Strict tool boundaries
* Policy-driven response formats
* Evaluation checks to prevent overconfident or unsafe guidance
Finally, we’ll cover rollout and migration: introducing the agent alongside existing workflows, aligning it with architecture guidelines, and iterating based on real incident feedback.
**Format:** 20 min talk + 10 min Q&A
### **19:35 – Pizza, Drinks & Networking**
Invite your friends and join our meetup. Special thanks to our hosts **[Zalando.](https://en.zalando.de/?_rfl=de)**

***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
“A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily. Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on. Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship. This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

[Verse 1]
Love spreads her arms, waits there for the nails
I forgive you, boy, I will prevail
Too much to take, some cross to bear
I'm hiding in the trees with a picnic, she's over there, yeah
[Interlude]
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
[Verse 2]
She didn't scream, she didn't make a sound
I forgive you, boy, but don't leave town
Cold black skin, naked in the rain
Hammer flash in the lightning, they're hurting her again
[Chorus]
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
[Post-Chorus]
I have a dream, I've seen the light
Don't put it out, and she's alright, yeah, she's my sister
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
She didn't scream, she didn't make a sound
I forgive you, boy, but don't leave town
Cold black skin, naked in the rain
Hammer flash in the lightning, they're hurting her again
[Interlude]
Oh, oh, oh
Yeah, yeah, yeah
[Chorus]
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
Let me put you in the picture
Let me show you what I mean
The messiah is my sister
Ain't no king, man, she's my queen
[Outro]
I've had a dream, I've seen the light
Don't put it out and she's alright, yeah, she's my sister
I want it all
I want it all
And I want it now
Only just after Aerosmith

NOVA Code & Coffee [161] - At FCED Venue
NOVA Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal, co-working session. People of all skill levels are invited. The concept is simple, bring a laptop and ideas, we'll provide the coffee and donuts! Here's how it works:
1. At 10:15 everyone introduces themselves and briefly describes what brought them to Code & Coffee today (project, homework, networking, etc)
2. For the rest of the day, folks work in the communal space on their projects providing one another help and conversation as needed. Oh and they usually drink coffee and tea too!
That's it! Hope to see you there!
