Join us for a pickup on a weekend! Group is relatively small which means you will get to show your skill and run quite a bit ! It is a co-ed game and open to all. Once the players limit is reached, no player will be admitted into the game. We already got a number of players (10) confirmed OFFLINE as guests of Host(s) through Signal. *Those in waitlist will be moved to the confirmed list only when spot becomes available.* *Also the **games RULES** below, fair play and camaraderie must be followed*. ⚽ It is a friendly game, no slide or back tackling, no rough play, and no greedy play or coaching. ⚽ Join the **Signal group**, Download ***[Signal app](https://signal.org/download/)*** and ***[join the Signal group](https://signal.group/#CjQKIBolYKIpshcX_ooOu_fmV7xlbEeJm5zBZ6_V8uTiuFNOEhAk5KeXU1QFVt39OBRP106d)*** for the game day updates. *Firstcomer, SEE the host to approve you to join the group*. ⚽ No groupism or favors, everyone gets to play without regard for the level be it starter, intermediate or advanced. One must pass ball to appropriate fellow players without favors or preference to a particular player(s). ⚽ It is expected to change positions, no one is permanent striker or defense, make sure you circle around and give chance to everyone to experience the game fully. ⚽ Bring WHITE as well as DARK jersies (and ball too if you can). ⚽ Send DM to host(s) on Signal if you have questions. ⚽ Look out for the changes in location of the field in case we would have to change the field. ⚽ Change your RSVP if needed. More than two no shows after RSVP will be banned for next games. If you need to cancel, do so at least 3 or 4 hours before the game. We do not want to have a low turn out due to last minute cancellations or no shows. ⚽ Additional guest must RSVP themselves to ensure personal accountability in case of no shows. ⚽ We typically post the updates on Signal and MeetUp. We may get some players confirmed OFFLINE so it is likely we may get at least 8v8. We limit the RSVP slots to avoid being a large group. If we will have enough players, we will have second game too. Be mindful of heavy traffic on the day and parking challenges of a typical city! Text 510- 394 29 three nine if have any question unanswered from above.

Firefly Book Club - Magic at the Crossroads by Kate Freuller
Firefly Book Club - Magic at the Crossroads by Kate Freuller
Something a little devilish for the dark days of January. Come join us to discuss Kate Freuller’s book on the devil in modern witchcraft. As always, everyone is welcome to attend whether you have time to read the book or not! You can see the big list of current Book Club suggestions and past reads here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WjTh24Z988Nvj5WGVimS0xocAJT08sOVz9dWH1AxWB8/edit?usp=sharing \*\*\* This will also be our opportunity to select next month’s book, so be thinking about what you would like to read. I will be bringing a big stack of books I’ve been wanting to get to, and all attendees are welcome to do the same or just make general suggestions. \*\*\* The Firefly House seeks to provide a friendly, safe environment in which all participants can engage in productive dialogue, sharing, and learning with each other in an atmosphere of mutual respect. We are committed to providing a harassment-free environment for all, regardless of gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body type, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact the host.

Be there or get chubby. You decide. https://secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/b/7/2/600_364811122.jpeg RSVPs are required. The reason is that it should increase your own enjoyment. You see, the ideal number of players for a pickup soccer game is perhaps 6x6 - 8x8; some players won't attend if they think the turnout will be low, and others will just assume the game will be cancelled even though we always play. (As a practical matter, smaller games are less fun since the comics won't have the audience they need, but, they do have two hidden benefits: shorter, more intense games/workouts and fewer face kicks/yellow cards. So we play no matter how small or large.) So non-RSVPers are a little short sighted, since they don't seem to want to maximize their own enjoyment in the long run. Rational and sane players who have a good chance of attending RSVP a week early both here and at https://meetup.com/dcsoccer , the parent soccer group.
Tea and Tarot: The Art of Intuitive Blending
Tea and Tarot: The Art of Intuitive Blending
Unearth insights and intentionally blend herbs and teas at our Community Tea & Tarot gathering—an elevated tarot experience that goes far beyond a traditional card pull. Draw from a curated selection of herb-themed oracle and tarot card decks to connect to your query, revealing the essence of a plant ally that will become the base herb for a tea you create. Each card corresponds to one of the 36+ herb jars included on our crafting table, forming an altar to plant allies and spirit guides, creating a container in which we navigate the liminal space between the abstract and the tangible, the spiritual and the embodied, and where we prepare to infuse with intuition. Guided by Teishu Mike Barberesi, certified tea sommelier and Taoist tea witch, the gathering unfolds as ritual: grounding meditation, shared reflection, storytelling, communal insight, and collective meaning-making, culminating in the creation of your own custom tea blend ceremoniously sealed with wax, a dried flower, and your intention so that you can integrate the tea ritual into your practice. Space is limited, so RSVP is required. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so you can get situated. FIRST TIMERS: All are welcome, as long as you come with an open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience necessary. You are also welcome to walk our grounds or check out our crystal shop. IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS: The address is 15406 Riding Stable Rd. Property is at end of 1/2 mile long driveway into the woods. You will drive over a small stream. Please be EXTRA MINDFUL to drive slowly (under 10 MPH) so as to not stir up any driveway dust. It is a shared driveway, so it’s important to respect our neighbors. Please do not stop to interact with horses. This is an extended offering to allow us more time to explore tarot divination more deeply. Suggested Donation: $30-40. There’s a bowl by the front door. Put in what feels right. There are also Venmo and Paypal options. With Love and Gratitude
