**New to the game? Please join our beginner-friendly Sunday event instead!** Hi folks, this is a special meetup group for the regular Blood on the Clocktower games every Tuesday in Berlin Mitte. This event is aimed at players who are already very familiar with Clocktower - if you have dozens of games under your belt and are excited to play custom scripts with other seasoned players, this is the event for you! Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. We especially design it for students, PhD candidates, academic researchers, and industry professionals with a research focus in machine learning. **Abstract**: The standard paradigm of machine learning separates training and testing. Training aims to learn a model by extracting general rules from data, and testing applies this model to new, unseen data. We study an alternative paradigm where the model is trained at test-time specifically for the given task. We investigate why such test-time training can effectively specialize a model to individual tasks. Further, we demonstrate that such test-time training enables models to continually improve and eventually solve challenging tasks, which are out of reach for the initial model. **Bio**: [Jonas](https://jonhue.github.io/) is a PhD student in the Learning and Adaptive Systems Group at ETH Zurich, advised by Andreas Krause. His research focuses on test-time training and reinforcement learning, with broader interests in probabilistic inference, optimization, and online learning. Acrylic portraits & live storytelling. **About this event** In this workshop, three storytellers will pose and share their stories while the rest of the participants create painted portraits of them. Each pose lasts 20 minutes, giving you time to capture their essence on canvas. We’ll be painting with acrylics using table easels provided at the venue. Basic materials such as acrylic paints, hard painting paper, and easels are included in your normal painting spot ticket. Small canvases will be available for purchase (ranging from 3€ to 9€), or you can bring your own art supplies. This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike who want to explore or refine their portrait painting process. The session is hosted by visual artist [Miltos Despoudis](https://miltosdespoudis.gr/). **Who will tell the stories?** Three attendees will be selected to pose and share any story they like during the session. For our January Happy Hour let's go back to Rai's Pour House! The Happy Hour will be on the second Tuesday of the month. We will meet at Rai's Pour House which is owned by the same people who own and Rai's Rendezvous, Rai's Pizza and Sully's Pour House.
