Interné durant son enfance au bagne de Belle-Île-en-Mer puis déporté en camp de concentration, l'artiste a traversé les épreuves extrêmes du XXᵉ siècle. Ecrit par sa fille, c'est un hommage à son talent de graveur et peintre. Illustrateur notamment de la *Ballade de* la *geôle de Reading,* et de *La tête contre les murs,* la puissance expressionniste de sa gravure est nourrie par l’expérience de la captivité. Sa peinture résolument figurative a traduit la splendeur lumineuse de l’Espagne et la dignité des campesinos. Présente dans des musées et collections de nombreux pays cette figure majeure de l’art du XXème siècle est mise en lumère par ce livre. Le peintre-poète de Saint-Germain-des-Prés, ami d’Antoine Blondin a fréquenté Guy Debord, Juliette Greco, Sartre et bien d’autres. Sa vie est aussi marquée par l’alcoolisme. Sur ce cours en particulier, nous aborderons la notion de tons (rouge, jaune, bleu, etc), et comment nous pouvons la marier avec ce que nous avions déjà appris sur les valeurs. On se retrouve à 19h30, mais qui veut peut arriver au local à partir de 19h pour grignoter, discuter! Il y aura du thé et du café pour qui veut, il faut retirer ses chaussures car c'est une salle de danse (donc les bottes à lacets attendront une autre soirée). Through cutting, folding, and observing, we will transform paper into images of blessing.
