Let’s play... Ars Magica / Deathmatch Island
Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of each game, you just need to bring your imagination.
🎭 **This week's facilitators:**
* 🧙 **Dave** guiding a troupe of wizards in *Ars Magica*. You are young magi and magae, wielders of powerful but dangerous magic, living together in the Covenant of Libellus in Mythic Europe, a medieval world where legends are real and the use of magic is governed by the strict laws of the Order of Hermes. But something has gone terribly wrong… and the one person who could explain it is suddenly no longer here, leaving behind unanswered questions, uneasy alliances, and the trace of a promise that should never have been made. What you uncover may save you… or condemn you.
* 🏝️ **Adam** directing players in a deadly game show on *Deathmatch Island*. You don't remember how you got to this mysterious island, but you and your fellow competitors are forced to risk your lives in a series of lethal challenges for the vague promise of a big reward for the sole survivor. In this game you have one life - use it wisely. Play to win!

Phoenix ARC “Coolmine” Radio Rally 2026
ast year we packed up a few projects, a pile of flyers, and the usual “sure we’ll only be there an hour” optimism… and had a brilliant day out at the Phoenix Amateur Radio Club annual rally in Coolmine.
Good news: it’s on again this year, and we’ll be back along representing TOG — **EI0TOG** — for a chat, a catch-up, and a bit of radio craic.
### Radio rallies are for everyone
If you’ve never been to a radio rally, don’t let the name put you off. They’re **not just for licensed amateurs** or hardcore collectors — they’re for anyone who likes **electronics, making, fixing, DIY, audio gear, test equipment, and learning how things work**.
You’ll see traders with radios and antennas, boxes of components, the “maybe I’ll need that someday” adapters, and plenty of people happy to help you figure out what you’re looking at (or what you accidentally bought!).
### The details
**Date:** Sunday **15th February 2026**
**Event:** 2026 Phoenix Amateur Radio Club “Coolmine” Rally
**Venue:** **Coolmine Community School, Dublin, D15 FW97**
**Doors open:** **10:00**

### Say hello to TOG (EI0TOG)
Drop over and say hi at the TOG table. Whether you’re curious about getting started in radio, want to know what a hackerspace is like, or you’re deep into a project and looking for a nudge in the right direction — we’re always up for a chat.
And if you’re already on the air, give us a wave — it’s always great to meet radio friends in person as well as over the bands.
### Photos from last year

Umbraco Events This Week
Discover what is happening in the next few days
reviving gardans, Growing community
**Hands in the Soil: Community Growing, Learning & Craic**
This first gathering will be a relaxed mix of **hands-on garden work, shared learning, and good conversation**. It’s about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there.
On the day, we’ll:
* Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep
* Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally
* **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices
* Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food
* Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, we’ll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea:
* The possibility of **small community “park farms” or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin
* What that might look like, what’s realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further
There’s no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Whether you’re experienced with gardening or completely new, you’re very welcome.
Bring clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and if you have them, gloves. Everything else will be very low-key.
This is just a **first step** — a chance to meet, work, talk, and see if there’s a shared appetite to keep growing something together.

Tarot Time!
***We have now resumed in-person meetups!***
We are a group of tarot practitioners and enthusiasts who are looking to practice and expand our tarot skills through both collaborative discussion and hands-on practice. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level, even if you've never picked up a deck in your life!
Each month we'll have a topic to discuss together, and when that discussion wraps up the session is opened up to any questions people might have about tarot. We also often break up into smaller groups to practice giving readings to each other. (The giving and receiving of readings are both completely voluntary, so please don't feel pressured!)
Having a tarot deck is not required. (If you're looking for recommendations for a first deck, we'll be more than happy to help!) Some have found it helpful to bring pen and paper for notes as well.
No fee, however snacks, donations for the tea fund, and gifts of practical items for the shop (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) are always welcome.
Use of workshop space agreement at Sticks and Stones:
1. Feel free to arrange and decorate the space before your event, and make sure before you go to leave it as you found it.
2. Hot water and tea are provided by the store and you are welcome to help yourselves. We accept donations in the form of money, tea, paper products (tissues, paper towels, toilet paper) dish soap, etc, to help pay for this free service.
3. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to your event (no alcohol.) It is suggested that you bring any utensils and plates if needed, however we might have some available from previous donations if you forget.
4. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, in all areas of the store. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to take any of the workshops/classes.
5. Sticks and Stones respects each and everyone’s spiritual path; we do not discriminate based on race, religion, sexuality, political views, etc. Please be kind and respectful with your discussions, as we have many people from all faiths entering our store during business hours.
Domain-Specific Small Language Models
