â Spiritual Heroism and the hero's journey â
â Spiritual Heroism and the hero's journey â
â*[T]he student-teacher relationship is similar to that in the martialarts. You could get hurt severely if you are too tense. [...]You could read a book about it, but it doesnât mean very much unless you have that very immediate and direct experience âwhich is frightening [...] We have to learn fearlessness that is without hesitation but is not based on blind faith.*â (ChĂśgyam Trungpa Rinpoche)
Turning to the inside, investigating who one truly is, facing challenges and obstacles on the search for truth, is heroic.
Whether the story of the great hero Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita, Atalante in Greek mythology or David in Christianity - our
ancient stories are full of heroines and heroes.
Heroism seems to be an attribute of the mystic archetypes (Gods) considering the legends of Kali's victory over the demons, Siva Nilakantha's rescue of the Universe from poison, or RagnarĂśk in nordic and Titanomachy in Greek mythology.
Books like "*The way of the superior man*" or simply biographies of great spiritual beings like the Tibetan Princess, Yeshe Tsogyel, Co-founder of Tibetan Buddhism suggest that there is something that Heroism can contribute to the spiritual Quest. And then there are things like the Bodhisattva Vow - spiritual actions that seem heroic in nature.
"*'Would you like to leave your subjects and go off to practice the Dharma? Would you l ike to leave the palace and go to practice the Dharma? [...] Do not try to do what you are not capable of doing: Practicing the Dharma. Do what you know how to do: Be a housewife.'*
Nangsa responded:
'*Helpful mother, Nyangtsa Seldron, listen to me [...], Nangsa Obum! The sun shines in the four corners of the universe: When the sun stops shining I will stop desiring to practice the Dharma and stay at home. If the sun keeps going, I will go also to the Dharma.'*â (Nangsa Obum - quote taken from the book "Women of wisdom" by Lama Tsultrim Allione)

However, in this meetup Martin focuses on the altruistic intention to open a space for people to share while offering as much facilitation as needed in the moment.
"*From a spiritual point of view it's not advantageous to be a rabbit. It's better to be a tiger, [...] Rabbits are very nice and cuddly but they don't have much potential for breaking through. Tigers, on the other hand, are very wild but that pure energy, if used skilfully, is exactly what's needed on the path. All the great saints were very passionate people. It's just that they didn't dissipate their passions into negative channels. They used them as fuel to send them to Enlightenment.*" (Tenzin Palmo)
"*The search for reality is the most dangerous of all undertakings for it will destroy the world inwhich you live. But if your motive is love of truth and life, you need not be afraid.*" (Nisargadatta Maharaj)

Agentic AI Engineering Lab (Sprint #1) - Build a Production-Ready MCP Server
**Agentic AI Engineering Lab (Tech Event, Sprint #1)**
**\- Build a Production\-Ready MCP Server**
**Move from prompting to architecting**
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an emerging open standard for connecting AI apps/agents to real tools and data sources. This session is not a talk â itâs a hands-on lab where we build MCP servers that can be tested immediately with an MCP-capable client (e.g., Claude Desktop / your preferred agent setup).
**The Format**
We are planning a series of agentic ai tech meetings for deep building. This event may be attended alone or be seen as part / sprint of the event series with upcoming events building on top of what we build here.
This is a high-density micro-meetup limited to 6 seats. We prioritize builders: bring your laptop, ship code, and be ready to 'build and break' alongside other devs and engineers.
**Future Sessions building on top may focus on ...**
RAG systems, advanced MCP features, A2A, multi-agent workflows, production deployment Patterns or whatever we feel nice to build next.
(We run our sessions like an anthology series: **Every meetup is a standalone sprint.** While we often build on previous results, each session provides a complete experience and remains fully accessible to first-time attendees.)
**What you'll build**
After a quick alignment on the technical scope, the floor is yours: build your solution using the stack and tools that fit your workflow. We provide the framework; you provide the execution.
By the end, youâll have a working MCP server (Python or TypeScript) with at least one real tool/resource, tested end-to-end.
**Ideas: Choose one track (or bring own idea if it fits the scope)**
**For Beginners (Foundational)**
* Personal knowledge server (local files/notes)
* Weather / external API integration
* GitHub issues helper
**Intermediate**
* SQLite query interface
* Slack/Discord notification tool
* CSV/Excel analyzer
**Advanced**
* Multi-API aggregator (e.g., calendar + weather + tasks)
* Document processor (PDF/DOCX parsing)
* Lightweight system monitoring/control
**Schedule (Saturaday, 10:00 - 15:00 CET)**
* **10:00â10:30 â Foundations + Live Demo**
Quick run through general MCP architecture (hosts/clients/servers), core primitives (tools/resources/prompts), basic patterns in order to get everybody on the same page.
* **10:30â11:00 â Environment Sync**
We wanna make sure everyone can run a âHello Worldâ MCP server (Python or TypeScript).
* **11:00â12:45 â Build Sprint (Lab Time)**
Implement your server + first tool/resource. Pair-debugging encouraged.
* **12:45â13:00 â Break (Pizza/Snacks)**
* **13:00â13:30 â Test & Iterate**
Use MCP Inspector / your client to test, fix edge cases, tighten tool contracts.
* **13:30â15:00 â Demos + Technical Teardown**
Quick demos, what broke, what worked, and what weâll harden in the next sprint.
**Prerequisites (Please Read)**
* Youâre comfortable shipping small things in your preferred dev language and tools (e.g. Python, TypeScript/Node.js).
* **Bring your laptop** + basic dev setup (Git, package manager).
* Have access to an LLM client / API (Claude/OpenAI/etc.).
* This is a lab for engineers, not a tutorial. We solve architectural problems together, but you are the master of your own dev environment.
* **Mindset:** Build, Break & Iterate â broken code is welcome, passivity isnât.
**Logistics**
* **Location:** Our private boardroom in the Grunewald area (near Martin-Luther Hospital). The exact address will be shared after RSVP.
* **Capacity:** 6 seats (first come, first served; deposit required)
**Commitment Deposit and No-Show / Late-Show**
This meetup is strictly non-profit. To respect everyoneâs time and ensure all 6 seats are utilized by committed builders, a âŹ15 deposit is required.
* **The Deal:** The deposit covers high-quality pizza, snacks, and drinks. Any surplus will be refunded to you via your original payment method after the event.
* **Punctuality is Key:** We start at **10:00 sharp** with the technical foundations (door open from 09:45). To protect the groupâs focus, late arrivals or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. Their deposit will be fully contributed to the community's pizza & snack fund.
* **Cancellations:** No refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of the start time.

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease.
This walk is a simple reset.
We meet in Berlinâs Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment.
No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening.
If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk.
⨠**What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):**
* A short arrival and orientation
* A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation)
* One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress
* Optional reflection in pairs or small groups
* A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life
đś**Who this is for:**
* Professionals, creatives, and people in transition.
* People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance.
* Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical.
* Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation.
đ **Practical notes:**
* Duration: 60-90 minutes
* Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
* No prior experience needed
* Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused
đ§ **Facilitator:**
My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction.
đ¤ **Why Chitta Walks?**
Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense.
Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world.
The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it.
đż **Possible effects:**
A calmer nervous system.
Clearer attention.
A felt sense of being more present in your body.
Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions.
A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city.
**Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

Read & Reflect: A Social Reading Circle.
Shared Pages, Shared Insights.
đ Do you love reading, but wish you had a structure and a community to share your insights with?
Join our small circle of curious minds (just 4 members per gathering) as we come together for an hour of focused readingâin the calm setting of a library or the cozy atmosphere of a cafĂŠ.
Hereâs how it works:
First part: Quiet reading on your ownâbring a book youâre exploring, whether itâs philosophy, history, psychology, literature, or anything meaningful to you.
Second part: We regroup and each person shares key takeaways, insights, or questions sparked by their reading. This sparks a structured yet free-flowing conversation around ideas, perspectives, and personal reflections.
Why join?
Add structure to your reading habit.
Discover new books, authors, and ideas through othersâ choices.
Build real connections by sharing and listening deeply.
Socialize around something meaningful instead of small talk.
Maximize cashflow with midterm rentals
Learn how homeowners and real estate investors are using mid-term furnished rentals to earn higher rental income with fewer turnovers than short-term rentals and more flexibility than traditional long-term leases.
This seminar covers how to rent your house to traveling professionals, relocating families, insurance placements, and corporate tenants. Weâll break down pricing strategies, tenant demand, furnishing basics, lease structure, insurance considerations, and local rules you need to know.
Whether youâre a homeowner with an extra property, an investor looking for better cash flow, or someone moving away from Airbnb, this session will give you a clear, practical framework to get started.
Ideal for homeowners, small investors, and anyone interested in flexible rental income, furnished rentals, or corporate housing strategies.
