David Price is our congressman and has been listening to the concerns we have raised about a new quarry pit next to Umstead State Park and how that would negatively affect the future for all citizens and visitors (not just bikers, but all people!). He is holding 2 town halls soon. This is a good opportunity to speak with him. Please consder attending one of these meetings. Please RSVP.
I hope you will join me at one of my upcoming town hall meetings. I will be hosting two town halls in the coming weeks, the first will be on Saturday, March 16, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the Southern Human Services Building in Chapel Hill. The second will be in Raleigh on Monday, March 18, at the Barwell Community center from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Keeping in touch with constituents is the most important thing I do as your Member of Congress. While I regularly correspond with constituents and visit them at their schools, workplaces, and places of worship, it is also important to hear directly about the issues that matter to you, from health care and education to housing and the economy. Understanding your views helps me fight for the priorities and interests of Fourth District communities in Washington. My staff will also be on hand to help constituents with any issues they are having with federal agencies.
I hope you will make your voice heard and attend one of my upcoming town halls:
