This was such a great ride last year.... let's do it again!!!
Join us again for a nice country ride out to the Elora Gorge, one of the most beautiful and spectacular natural area in the Grand River valley. The Grand River rushes through the gorge, which has 22-metre high cliffs. Riverside trails (with safety barriers) and scenic overlooks provide hikers with stunning views of the water far below where kayakers and tubers make their way through the rapids. There's 3 km of walking trails along the gorge and we'll take time to have a walk, view the gorge and get some nice photos.
(There is a $5.50 Conservation Area admission.... which strangely was waived for us last year, but we have to be prepared to pay)
Then of course, what's a TMSC ride without food? The next stop will be lunch in the charming town of Elora, followed by ICE CREAM at Jenny's Place in the Elora Mews. You can gorge yourself on 60 flavours of premium ice cream and frozen yoghurt, from fat free to decadent!
Our route home takes us cross-country to Holtom's Bakery in Erin (wonder why? LOL) then homeward thru the Forks of the Credit Road.
222 km Total Distance
This ride will be on roads with no speed limit higher than 80-90 kph so is suitable for scooters 150cc and up, or the Vino 125. If you're not sure, post a comment and ask.
