2nd Group To Kleinberg - 2nd Starting Location

Because our Kleinberg luncheons at Longchamps are so popular, we've added a second group and we'll be starting this one downtown to help those who live down in the city. Just pick which one of the two rides you want to join and we'll all meet in Kleinberg to enjoy the nosh together.

This group will be starting from the Timmies on the south-side of Davenport, between Spadina and Bathurst, which is just below Casa Loma. It willl be a 50cc friendly ride.

Here's the route... which as usual, is subject to change.

    What a great ride we had up to Kleinberg today. It's so sad to see the low turnout and late cancellations from people. However everybody who did enjoy the ride (two groups) had a wonderful lunch, some fun and laughter, and dressed correctly, the cool temperatures weren't an issue. So a big thank you to those who made the effort worthwhile today.

    Will meet you at the pub. Looks like a good time to shoot that big group shot, since there will be so many of you. What's your ETA in Kleinburg?

      Still dont see how you can ride from 2 start points. ;)

    Good choice to move the day Suzanna. The Weather Network hour-by-hour forecast doesn't show any rain Saturday until at least 4 pm in the afternoon. I'd sooner be cold and dry than warm and wet.

      Ok, that the same as yesterday's cast on Accuweather, which now predicts rain in the evenings both days. Weather office says rain, but doesn't say when. ;) It's too sonn to tell.

    That's unfortunate for Sunday especially since the high is expected to be 18 but with rain :(

      Depends on which forecast you're looking at ...

    Take that back. Weather error corrected. Tough weather both days.

    The weather forecast for Sunday looks horrible. Saturday looks more positive. Oh well.

    Well, this sucks. The meetup location is about 2 minutes from home for me, I have a new (to me) Vespa GTV 250 that is dying for a ride, and every weekend for the past month and the next month I'm tied up on call forwork.My whole summer's been like this...

      As someone who's been self-employed since '83 ... if you want to do something , you have to book the time just as if it were a paying project. Elsewise all you'll do is work.

      So true. But it's a CBC TV show, the orchestra rehearses on Sunday mornings, so I' have to be available then like it or not. NO flexibility on this one, and for what they're paying me, I shouldn't complain I guess...

    Me too!!!

    Looking forward to my first group ride!

    Hi MaryAnn. Group riding isn't really a problem and we explain the procedures at the ride start, so you're welcome to join us. Of course if you feel more comfortable either riding along behind the group, or riding up on your own, we'd still be happy to see you at lunch.

      Watch this site for any news of change in plans due to weather. Suzanna is our social coordinator so she'll likely make the decision and let us all know.

      MaryAnn, don't forget to RSVP.

    So, I and my husband would like to come, but we've not done a "group" ride before. We are happy to follow your route (thank you map people) and meet you there...if that is possible. We have done "road trips" on our own before and have tales to tell...

    Oh no..... there's always SOMEONE who reads better than I think or type!!! LOL!!!

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Ode to the Typographical Error The typographical error is a slippery thing and sly;
    You can hunt till you are dizzy, but it somehow will get by.
    ’Till the forms are on the press, it is strange how still it keeps.
    It shrinks down in a corner, and it never stirs or peeps –
    That typographical error, too small for human eyes –
    ’Till the ink is on the paper, when it grows to mountain size.
    The boss, he stares with horror, then he grabs his hair and groans;
    The copyreader drops his head upon his hands and moans.
    The remainder of the issue may be clean as clean can be,
    But the typographical error is the only thing you see.

    My entire RRSP? Can't I save some for my old age?

    September 30, 2012

  • Steve_YYZ

    As we've added a 2nd group, what we'd ask people to do is pick which start location they'd prefer to ride from and put your RRSP in that location. If you wish to change your start location, just cancel out of one and book in the other ride. That way your organizers will know who to expect from each location. Thanks
