September is Digital Storytelling month and so it’s time for a Toronto Net Tuesday event dedicated to the topic. Hear stories about telling digital stories, identify technology solutions for your organization’s storytelling goals, and build your tech-for-good network!
• Kate Hodgson of iKommunications (http://www.ikommunications.com/) will share strategic approaches on maintaining a consistent narrative while using digital storytelling techniques and driving impact.
• Chris DePaul of the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) (http://socialinnovation.ca/) will share how CSI has adopted an innovative Social Media storytelling strategy that has increased online engagement and added value for CSI members without requiring additional resources.
• Bring your own social good story and access the shared knowledge of the meetup while brainstorming the best digital options to reach your audience!
Who should attend?
• Tech-savvy staff & volunteers at nonprofits, charities and social enterprises who do not have a background in IT, and any storytelling enthusiasts!
This event will be live streamed, so you can attend no matter where you are! Joining is easy as there is no need to RSVP; just go to http://www.livestream.com/techsoupcanada around 5:30pm Eastern Time.
