DID the traumatic experience leave you with anxiety, depression, anger, panic attacks, nightmares, flashbacks, triggers, dissociation &/or traumatic amnesia?
DID you experience a life threatening event?
ARE you the survivor of an interpersonal assault, such as a robbery, home invasion, or sexual assault? ARE you the survivor of a car accident, fire, flood or extreme weather event? ARE you the male or female survivor of prolonged interpersonal assault such as child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence or stalking? HAVE you grown up in a neglectful home or are the child of a hoarder? ARE you the survivor of psychological abuse or terrorizing? WERE you a witness to violent crime, accidents, abuse or other traumatic incidents? ARE you a first responder or emergency services worker? ARE you a veteran or refugee, or have lived in a war-zone? This self help group will allow you to join others in learning about PTSI/PTSD and how to manage our new lives. We promise at each meeting we will learn a new coping skill to help manage the effects of trauma.
This is not a therapy group; it is not a place for us to 'tell our stories'. It is a place for us to learn skills from one another, and to meet and speak with other survivors who've been there, who 'get it', and who are actively working to move beyond their trauma, forward into healthy lives.
