  • Vegan Singles Mixer at The Vegandale Brewery
For all the single vegans in the GTA, let's check out this new venue downtown that opened last summer. They some amazing vegan options and plenty of alcohol to soothe your soul. Vegandale Brewery combines two local entrepreneurs, local brewer Mike Duggan and vegan Chef Doomie. The space used to be home to Duggan’s Brewery, which now offers 100% vegan beers on tap. Doomie's moved into this new location to offer you the same foods we all loved including: burgers, sandwiches, waffles and fun fries. You can also order frozen treats from the capsule ice cream shop within the brewery, Not Your Mother. Let's all come out and chill at this new venue on a wintery Friday night to do some social networking and make dozens of new friends. Hope to see you all there.

This is a joint event with the TVA Veggie Movie Group. If you weren't able to join us for Sharkwater: Extinction this week, then here is your second chance to see it with a group. We'll meet on Sunday at Yonge-Dundas Cineplex Cinemas at 4:15pm for a 4:40pm showing. If you're running late, we'll grab some seats at the back of the theatre, and will hold up a sign. We'll also watch Meetup messages if you're having trouble finding us. Regarding the prize opportunity, we have a prize pack from the promoters. We'll do it raffle style when we all meet at the theatre. Here are the details: - One (1) Save the Humans by Rob Stewart book - One (1) Sharkwater Blu-Ray - One (1) Revolution Blu-Ray - One (1) Sharkwater Extinction Ball Cap - Prize Pack Value: $100 You might want to get your movie ticket in advance in case it sells out! P.S. There was a W5 episode a couple weeks ago that you can watch On Demand (On Rogers/CTV), and it was a great behind the scenes special.

  • Free screening of Sharkwater: Extinction
We have 40 free tickets allocated for our group, however, please note that RSVP'ing here doesn't "guarantee" entry. The event is free, and is first-come-first-serve. They are overbooking the theatre (because of all the free tickets they've handed out) so they suggest that we arrive by 6:15PM. We'll be providing the names to the promoters at 1pm today (send your full name by private message to Diane B). If you're seeing this after 1pm, message Diane B to see if there are any spots left.
