I wish I'd seen this sooner as we've been serving as an expert witness, and case consultant, since we founded the anti-trafficking, and recovery, movement for those exiting the sex industry for any reason, including sex trafficking, since 1987. We were also certified as an expert witness in the brainwashing techniques used by pimps in '94 for a case in order to explain to the court how a pimp could brainwash someone into thinking they were acting of their own free will when in fact they were not. We won that case and we're the people who made the Trafficking Act of 2000 which gave this issue federal recognition possible. I've been working as a paralegal since I left the sex industry in 1985. I've been also providing training to judges, prosecutors, attorney's, etc., in the complexity of the sex industry and trafficking for 30 years now. No one has talked to as many survivors as myself, nor followed as many legal cases as myself either. www.sexworkersanonymous.com
