Come enjoy hiking the Gateway Loop in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve! It starts off flat, but there's a bunch of climbing towards the saddle. Gorgeous views await, then we come back around the other side of the mountain. This hike is rated INTERMEDIATE.
Although we will move at a steady pace, we will take a few short breaks along the way. You are encouraged to bring snacks, sun protection of some sort and must bring at least 2+ liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear. This trail is rocky!

DIRECTIONS: The address is 18333 Thompson Peak Pkwy in Scottsdale and is located on the east side of the street just north of the Bell Rd intersection. The entry street to the trailhead is labeled Carla Way. The Google map link above will get you there.
