Join us on a hike of scenic beauty across the woods and fields of western Kent. Our starting point will be the country town of Sevenoaks, which has the rare distinction of being named for its trees. Our trail will take us by the 'seven oaks', as well as beside a cricket ground that is arguably the world's oldest.

We will head into the countryside of Knole Park, the beauty of which persuaded the Beatles to film promotionals there for 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'Penny Lane'. We shall also pass by the medieval grandeur of Knole House, used as a location for the Scarlett Johansson movie, 'The Other Boleyn Girl'.

We will then hike along the Greensand Escarpment, with views stretching across two counties, on our way to another beautiful historic site, Ightham Mote, once described as "the most complete small medieval manor house in the country".
