**caveat= the covid cases remain low and the Colombia entry requirements don't change . Gloria , Deb and Brenda have flights and hotel rooms booked as of Dec 1 Gloria's trip is Jan 15 - Mar 31 , Meetup doesn't allow events to be that long. If you want to travel but don't have anyone to travel with then this is a great way to do so. Gloria thought she could spend the winter in Vancouver, but 4 days of cold rain were more than enough for her . So she is inviting you to join her . Jan 15 - Mar 31 Debbie , 1 of the members has all ready decided to join her from Feb 10 - Mar 17 Gloria rented a 2 bdrm, 2 bath apt 2 blocks from the beach, 1 block from the marina, and next to the old city for $700 Cdn/month. If you want to see them https://www.facebook.com/events/356916242192769/?active_tab=discussion Brenda has rented a place a couple block away 900$ for the month 1400 for the 6 weeks that she is there Gloria chose Santa Marta Colombia as it was recommended by a friend who knows her and her travel style well. She can fly there without flying through a US airport, it is cheap and easy to get to, and it is a budget destination. Santa Marta is a small city (500,000) in northern Colombia, on the Caribbean. It is an old colonial city. Aside from the sun and beach, people come to visit Taytrona National Park. You can also visit a coffee plantation. There is a huge public market and endless street food. Colombia has a reputation of being a dangerous country but anyone using basic precautions is fine. If you have any questions please feel free to email her: [masked] We will also do zooms call on this and maybe 1 meetup in person. GROUP TRIPS: Our group trips are arranged by a Leader who extends invitations to its members . Any interested members are welcome to join for all or part of the Leader’s trip. The Leader will post their flight and accommodation plans. You will arrange your own transportation and it will be up to you to book the same accommodation or a place of your choice nearby. The Leader will do their best to help you plan and answer any questions but you should do your own research on the location. The Leader will try to have one activity planned per day that others can join if they wish. You are free to do something on your own or with someone else from the trip. The best part is the evening meal that everyone is allowed to attend or decline as it suits their choosing. It’s a great time to get together to share experiences from the day, socialize, and plan for the next day. Past group trips in 2018 & 2019 have included Bangkok, Mexico City and Bali. Everyone is responsible for their own events, accommodations, food, admission and trip costs. The organizers are not liable for anything bad that happens to you, mentally or physically during your participation of the event. When you book your flight for a group trip , you should provide your email address and phone number (WhatsApp) for trip planning. We recommend that you get travel and medical insurance for these trips.

Visa: As you can apply for a visa up to 6 months in advance, Glora will apply for hers as soon as she returns from Colombia in mid April . Using the Russian Visa Center the total cost should be $186 Can https://russiable.com/ You can use other companies to get your visa but this is the one she will probably use.
