Hey all, did someone leave behind a pair of women's Mountain Hardware black insulated pants? I found them hanging on a hanger by the front door.

We have plenty of snow and the temps should be tolerable.
I was asked about skiing discounts, I understand you can get a discount for buying a two day pass.
A few more things that may come in handy to all, a flashlight for those midnight strolls to the bathroom, a pair of slippers, and perhaps a sled to go sledding with.
This weekend is going to be a blast!!

I would add a sheet to your packing list as you may want to bring a comforter instead of a sleeping bag!
Also, check out this offer on groupon to rent skiis before you headout of town.

Here's a link to a map Linda Chandler put together showing the places around Wausau we'll likely be going to, and it includes a couple of equipment rental shops. She defected to the group that's going the weekend after us this year, but was kind enough to share this link with us:

The tubing hill provides the tubes. You can rent skis and snowshoes locally in Wausau, or bring them with you. Refer to the link in the posting for info about recreation in the area. In addition to Granite Peak and 9 Mile Park renting equipment, there are local stores like Builer's Cycle at[masked], they have both snowshoes and cross country skies available. Their address is 215 South 3rd Ave, Wausau.

    January 16, 2011

  • Pamela

Can we rent gear for outdoor activities or do we need our own ski's, tubes, and snowshoes?

    January 16, 2011

  • Laurie

Thanks! I do have an iPod and base, so I'll bring that along.

    January 16, 2011

  • Marie B

You will need to bring the following: whatever alcoholic beverages you plan to drink, bedding (pillow, sheets and blankets, or sleeping bag), soap, flip flops and towel for showering, and your gear for outdoor activities. You may want to bring a flashlight if you plan to be getting up and wandering around at night, and earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. If anyone wants to bring an Ipod and base to provide music, that would be great.

    January 15, 2011

  • Laurie

Will someone please post what is recommended to bring? I understand we need our own linens....what else?

    January 15, 2011

  • Pamela
