Airfare

Good and bad news about the holidays! Airfare already went up in the last few days significantly.

The good news is 1) airfare is cheaper out of Los Angeles. On 1/25, you can fly to New Orleans nonstop for $153 one way. You buy 2 one way tickets from Los Angeles to New Orleans. Each ticket is $153 on Delta to New Orleans and $154 on United from New Orleans to Los Angeles on 2/3.

Airfare out of SFO went up from $460 to $550 recently.

Then for $1, take the Megabus from Caltrain station in S.F. to Union Station in L.A. It leaves here at 11:30 p.m., arriving there at 7 a.m. Hop on the Fly bus to LAX to get on the 9:26 flight arriving in New Orleans at 3 p.m. (Airfare, megabus and Fly bus all equal+ $323, round trip)

You'll save more than $200! I've been searching airfare all morning and this is as good as it gets!

Megabus at www.megabus.com is at a low introductory rate so it sounds good.

Just thought I'd inform you of this if you're interested in traveling or on the January cruise where it will be hot, hot, hot.
