The small landlocked country in South East Asia where consumption of sticky rice is the highest in the world LAOS got the freedom merely around 70’s ago but the Lao Kingdom of Land XANG was established 1353 AD. Compared to its large neighbors Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam Laos is definitely the most forgotten country. Similarly to Bhutan, exploration of this land is like an unexpecting roller coaster culture and nature ride combined with heritage sites, Buddhist templates, breath taking, panoramic views, caves and cascading waterfalls.
Never ending natural landscapes and mostly mountainous geography has attracted travelers who are looking for wilderness places and full of thrill adventures.
Laos is a place not only for those who loves nature but with centuries of long-standing tradition making it a great destination for those who loves ancient cultures. Luang Prabang located in the North part of Laos is a tiny ancient town surrounded by mountains. Was inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995’s called by many travelers the heart of Laotian culture.
Despite the fact of being the least wealthy Asia’s country Lao people are known form their simplicity and hospitality. These people who are manly Buddhism followers have discovered joy in minimalism.
Now we are giving you unusual opportunity to check their life and how easily you can leave your luxuries and enjoy simple moments surrounded by happy people. We will hop on motorbikes and explore secrets of this beautiful country in one of the most adventurous formats possible.
DAY 1 Arrival
Meeting in Bangkok and connecting flight to Luang Prabang at 10.20am. Check in to hotel and short orientation tour of this spectacular colonial city. Rest and relax.
DAY 2 LUANG PRABANG – NONG KHIAW
DAY 3 NONG KHIAW – VIENG THONG
After enjoying breakfast, we will get back on the scooter and continue on the 1C toward Vieng Thong. This route is has some sharp curves and stunning views of the mountainous landscape. This area is home to the Nam Et-Phou Louey national protected area, the last remaining home of the Indochina Tiger in mainland Southeast Asia. Upon arriving in Vieng Thong, we will relax at the hot springs nearby and possibly sing karaoke together with the locals.
DAY 4 VIENG THONG - PHONSAVANH
Today is one of the longest days out on the scooter, but time will fly by. The asphalt road is smooth and the views are impressive once again. We will have lunch in one of the many small villages that are perched along the edge of the mountain before continuing onward to Phonsavanh. Upon arriving in Phonsavanh, we will check the legendary Plain of Jars.
DAY 5 PHONSAVANH - PHOUKHOUN
DAY 6 PHOUKHOUN - LUANG PRABANG
DAY 7 KUANG-SI WATERFALLS
We will finish expedition with a visit of Luang Prabang city starting with morning market, followed by yet another, biggest Kuang Si waterfall.
In the afternoon free time. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 8 Departure
After breakfast we head to airport for return flight to Bangkok at 07.40 AM. Lading in BKK at 09.40 AM.
Level of difficulty:
Moderate with limited facilities. This trip includes 5 days of scooter rides - you need to have at least basic experience on scooter / motorbike and have driving license B.
Motorbike ride, swimming, boating, sightseeing and much more
