Good afternoon fam. (if I may impose)? (Love what you [ALL] are doing!) I can't make all the turn-outs, but when I can, I love it, keeps me inspired even with my pen so thanks you guys. I'll have to share a few of my pieces - poetry - regarding music (particularly jazz).
I hope I'm not over stepping my boundaries by this formal correspondence. As a writer, poet and upcoming author (PRM of C.O.R.E. ? Crowns Of Riches Entertainment), as well talent scout and recruiter for poets, musicians, artists and performers (dancers) & vocalists, I am looking to try and bring in new talent from all over.
Currently I host poetry and spoken word shows monthly and bi-weekly between Raleigh and Chapel-Hill and Durham. That being said, I was just putting word out to fellow writers and poets in the area(s), and also musicians and vocalists who may be interested in taking part in the event if not so much as just coming through and supportin' a fellow cause and enjoying the likes of some very talented persons throughout the community.
Looking to bring in some new musicians if possible.
(i.e. guitarists, violinists, keyboardists, saxophonists, drummers, et cetera)
***Always adding new talent, new elements and components to each show. Art, music and poetry all mixed in one to create something wonderful and unique, yet equally interesting, entertaining and more importantly, educational and creative.***
The event is very upscale. Always held at the Raleigh Marriott Hotel, off of Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh, NC. If you'd like and are somewhat interested, I'll send you all the details. But in the meantime, I hope all's well and favorable with you and yours.
You'r enjoying your summer as well as just being blessed as a whole.
The pleasure has been all mine.
Sincerely,
Keenan M. Gorham

I read this email too late, but I attended anyway by chance (since this was a stones throw from my house). These three tore it up. What a great set (I was only able to catch the first). Especially that 10 minute long jam toward the end of the first set. Anyone know if that is Marcus's regular band? He lists a guitar and keyboard player on his website too. That bass player (AJ?) is awesome (not to take anything away from the other two, especially Marcus). This guy is only 22!!! Amazing.
It's too bad I wasn't able to meet you all ? maybe next time.
Brad
Would love to have you come out and by all means bring a guest.
Have a nice day,
Todd (Jazz Group Organizer)
