What we're about

Triangle Fly Fishers (TFF) is a Trout Unlimited (TU) chapter serving North Carolina, from the Research Triangle area east to the coast. Triangle Fly Fishers is also a Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) affiliate club. We're dedicated to conservation and fly fishing, and from the mountains to the sea, we catch and release every species! Anyone interested in fly fishing is welcome to join. Notices of monthly meetings appear on http://triangleflyfishers.blogspot.com/, and descriptions of past meetings can be seen there. Raleigh Elks Lodge no.735

The PHWFF Program is starting our annual fly rod building program on January 23rd at 6:00PM at the Raleigh Elk's Lodge. We will have 20 of our vets participating in the program again this year and we are in need of experienced rod building coaches to assist. The Elk's Lodge has provided us with a great meeting space and we will provide a meal since this will be held during the dinner hour. We should have all of the necessary tools and building material, so just bring your expertise.

Triangle Fly Fishers: Monthly Meeting

Needs a location

Please join us for our monthly meeting. We will discuss club business and upcoming events, and there will be a raffle for some nifty prizes. We'll start the 2019 New Year off with fly tying demonstrations and discussions with some of the club's most accomplished anglers and tiers. There will be seven stations set up with one or two of our members tying their favorite flies for a specific fishery. In addition to showing us how to tie these flies, our friends will be sharing information about how to fish successfully in their favorite waters with information including seasonal considerations, equipment, presentation and of course favorite flies. The demonstrations won't be geared towards beginners specifically; however, we hope beginners and experienced fishermen alike will come away with useful information. The lineup, including tiers and their fisheries are listed below (pictures of the tiers attached as well). See you January 28th at the Durham County Wildlife Club! The lineup: Brian Thomas - Terrestrials for Trout Terry Hackett and Andy Howard - Eno White Bass/Largemouth Bass Chuck Aikens and Cope Mahagan - Brushed Minnows, Saltwater Jim Rice and Malcolm Finlayson - East TN Tailwater Trout Paul Gruver and Don Stanger - Clearwater Trout Bob Davis and Jim Coveney - Carp Terry Suess and Dave Fussel - Roanoke Shad and Stripers -------
