  • Discussing pattern misuse and unit testing gotchas with Chris Saylor

No matter how good of a programmer we become, looking back at old code exposes just how much we have continuously learned. I recently had the opportunity to work on a project that required revisiting a lot of our old code base and noticed quite a few places that I would have written completely differently if written today. For the first half of the meetup we'll talk about pattern misuse and overuse and possible alternatives to resolve them. The second half of the meetup, we'll look at some unit test gotchas and poor tests with an emphasis on how to improve them.
