Hello, all!
Can you believe summer is winding down? I'm on my two week break between classes and can't believe it's here already. This email is a hodgepodge of info - hope you find it useful!
First, welcome to all our new members! I'm not sure how you're finding us, but we've had a lovely influx of new people the past couple months. I hope to see you at an event soon. Keep an eye on the calendar - new events are popping up all the time. Also be sure and check out some of the other veg related meetups and the Triangle Vegetarian Society.
Just a reminder that all events are for adults only unless it specifies children welcome/kid friendly. When in doubt, please verify with the host for a particular event. We don't wish to exclude our veg kids/families, but it's a majority preference (including expressed by many parents) that most dinners and such be adults only. The Solterra potluck is kid friendly as are various other events. Want more kid friendly events? Just drop me a message and I'm happy to help you set one up! Also be sure and check out the Triangle Veg Families meetup.
Thanks to everyone who has pitched in dues to help me pay the meetup fee. If you haven't, please consider tossing me $3 to help pay the fee meetup charges. You can Paypal it through the meetup site or email me to get my address - or see me at an event. You then get the coveted Supporting Member title. :) Thanks again!
There are lots of veg happenings around town and beyond! The annual Veganpalooza is scheduled to start August 15. This is a free online 4 day event. Check out http://veganpalooza.c... for all the details!
Heads up - Triangle Raw Foods now has goodies available in the prepared foods section of some local Whole Foods stores. Check your WF and if they aren't available, ask them to bring them! More details at https://www.facebook....
Local vegan Chef Matt is still hosting a pop up vegan restaurant in Durham most Tuesday and Saturday nights as well as some brunches. Check out https://www.facebook.... and https://www.facebook.... for the creative menus.
Speaking of brunch, Raleigh restaurant Fiction Kitchen is now serving brunch on Sundays! Check it out if you can! https://www.facebook.... I have been asked by a couple people to do a meetup here, but they do not take reservations and cannot seat large groups. The good news is that business is hopping and they don't need us doing meetups every week to get people in their seats! But check them out if you haven't - try the vegan chik'n and waffles! Yum!
Ok, that's all I have for now. Please feel free to contact me any time with questions or meetup suggestions. Questions about a specific event should go to the event host however.
Thanks for being such a great community!
