NOTE: DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 OUTBREAK WE ARE NOT POSTING ANY IN PERSON EVENTS, INCLUDING MOVIES AND GAME NIGHTS, UNTIL THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS DECREASES DRAMATICALLY IN NC FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. - STAY SAFE
Started in 2008, the Triangle’s Geeks is the oldest and largest group dedicated to bringing Geeks together for a wide variety of "geeky" activities. Our friendly members come from a variety of backgrounds and professions and our ages range from 20s-70s. We have regular monthly game nights, new release movie nights (with dinner/discussion afterward), and DVD movie nights. Other fun activities we have done have included brewery tours, bowling, dinners, holiday parties, night sky watches, escape rooms, museum trips and more. Check out our calendar to see what we having coming up.
NOTE: Geek events are ADULT ONLY (unless specifically posted as "kid-friendly").
Our Attendance Policy: For the courtesy of all our members and our volunteer organizers, we have a “Two Strike” attendance policy. If you are a “No Show” or a “Late Drop” (dropping less than 6 hours before the event) it will count as a strike. After two strikes you are subject to removal from the group. So please only sign up events that you know you can attend and update your RSVPs in a timely fashion.
We also ask that each person in attendance give $1 to help pay the cost to have the meeting group and supplies for events.
Profile Picture Policy We require all members to have a recognizable, close-up picture of their face in their Triangle Geek group profile at all times. This makes it easier for everyone to learn each other's names and for organizers to locate members in large venues.
