With Microsoft’s acquisition of GitHub a little over a year ago, GitHub is no longer just a system for Open Source projects within the community. In this session, we will go over how to build out your GitHub environment to ensure that it is secure, provides enough information and guidance to your team to be successful, as well as setting up your local environment to make changes to your code base.

Joshua Higginbotham is the Data Services Manager for Republic Bank and Trust based out of Louisville, KY. His community involvement includes being the Co-Chapter Leader of the Louisville SQL Server and Power BI User Group, SQL Saturday Louisville Co-Organizer, and a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard. He’s worked in a variety of fields within the Data Platform, including Software Development. Business Intelligence, and Database Administration.
