The Triangle Indie Film Meetup Group Pages

Welcome | Film Resources | Our Film Projects

Welcome to the Triangle Indie Film Meetup Group! We're happy to welcome a new film fan to share in and support local independent cinema. Following are a few guidelines for our members:

Your Profile
If you have not already done so, please take a moment to add a photo and some introductory information to your member profile. The photo will help us recognize you at our Meetups, and the info you share about yourself helps us to get to know each other better and share our common interests. It is also helpful, though not required, if you use your first name as your profile name.

RSVP Etiquette
Please respect the following rules of RSVP Etiquette out of consideration for your organizers and fellow members of this Meetup group:

  • RSVP Yes for each event you will be attending. This signals to the event organizer and other members to expect you at the event. If you RSVP "Yes" for an event, please consider it a commitment to attend. Some events have limited attendance, and for these it is especially important to honor your RSVP.

  • RSVP No if you cannot attend an event. An RSVP of "No" ensures you will receive no further updates or reminders about that event.

  • In the rare instance that you need to change your "Yes" RSVP to "No" or "Maybe," please do this no less than 24 hours prior to the event. Keep in mind that if you change your RSVP late, or if you don't show up for an event, you are having a negative impact on our group and possibly preventing someone else from participating in that event. We understand that "stuff happens" sometimes, but, again, if you RSVP "Yes" for an event, please do your very best to attend.

Lastly, a few general courtesies: Please arrive on time for our events. Please do not talk or disturb others during the movie. Turn cell phones off or on vibrate. And, if you can, stick around for the post-film discussion or social, usually at a nearby restaurant or bar; this is the best way for us to learn about films and get to know each other better.

We look forward to seeing you at our next Meetup. Until then, and as always, please feel free to share your interests with the group by way of the message board, our polls, or by e-mailing the Organizer.
