Wondering why you're not living up to your "full potential" at work"? Sick and tired of watching other "less qualified" colleagues get promotions and raises? Ever wonder what they've got that you haven't?
If you are like most people, public speaking is not your favorite past time. Yet survey after survey shows that presentation skills are crucial in the workplace. The person with strong communication skills has a clear advantage over tongue-tied colleagues – especially in a competitive job market.
Many pay thousands of dollars for seminars to gain the skill and confidence necessary to face an audience. Membership in TV Toastmasters cost less than a fast-food lunch every month and is held in high regard by the business community.
TV Toastmasters is a “learn-by-doing” system in which members hone their skills in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere with the added benefit of viewing their speeches on Anderson Community Access Television. The club meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM and the 3rd Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM at the Anderson Community Television Station.
Club Meetings are televised on Anderson Community Cable channel 15, ICRC channels 4 and 17 and posted on the Club's YouTube channel so your friends, neighbors and boss will get to see your new skills. Why wait? Join NOW to experience the benefits effective communication, improved listening / evaluation skills and valuable leadership / management experience as a club officer or as a meeting chair will bring to you.
P.S. You can even film, direct or produce the monthly club meetings!
