Re: [goth-810] Places to stay

Welcome! I don't of anyone who's stayed at the Saloon's hotel. It might
be something of an adventure. I sincerely doubt that it would be a very
unsafe adventure, but have no direct experience. My experience of staying
at a gay backpacker's hotel in Montreal was very pleasant, if
unconventional, and inexpensive. I secretly hope you pick this option and
tell us about it afterward.

I have heard very good things about the Minneapolis hostel.
(http://www.minnea...) It's a pleasant neighborhood which
was dicier about ten years ago. Though compared to Albuquerque, it's kind
of hard to find a "rough" part of town around here. I have this
impression that Oakland is also overall tougher than Minneapolis, as a
dear friend of mine was once shot with rubber bullets by the cops in Long
Beach...

When my tiny, ancient, fussy stepmother comes to visit we put her up in a
B&B (because she is likes complete silence after 9 pm.) I think it was
Nan's on 24th and Fremont. [masked]

What brings you in?
