Learn the basic techniques of Djembe and Djun Djun African drumming. Learn how to maintain a pulse, beat and groove. Easy to use 4/4 and 6/8 rhythms will be taught at the workshop plus left and right hand coordination drumming with a stick and bell at the same time. No experience is necessary and drum will be provided if you do not own one. Frank Thompson from AZ Rhythm Connection will be coming up from Arizona to teach this fun workshop. Frank has been drumming and teaching for many years and is a Remo Endorsed HealthRHYTHM facilitator. Frank uses techniques that are easy to learn. The cost of the workshop is $70.00. Counselors or Music Therapists that would like to attend for CBMT/NBCC credits the cost would be $120. Try using your new skills that you learn at the November 7 Drum Circle at the Center for Harmonious Living. The workshop will start at 10:00 A.M. and will last until approximately 5:00 P.M. Call Cheri Bunker at[masked] to register. The cafe will have a lunch order form that can be pre-paid when you arrive for the workshop and your meal will be ready for you when we break for lunch. I highly recommend the outstanding meals at the cafe.
