Fringe Fest - Premiere of Minnebarista's Play "33 1/3 Dates

How many dates does it take to get to the center of the love lollipop? Professor Pigg is convinced that 33-1/3 is the magic number. To prove it, he subjects recent divorcees Max and Minnie to a series of ill-advised dates. As the mismatches become increasingly outrageous, Max and Minnie turn the tables. Will they ruin Professor Pigg's">Pigg's chances of making the cover of the Journal of Improbable Statistics? Based on a real professor, a real theory, a real love story and sad-but-true bad date stories from Twin Cities singles, this updated version of last year's breakout romantic comedy features several new scenes and characters sure to resonate with anyone who's ever dated: the Asstastrophe; the Cougar; a Hottie with Hound and many, many more. This show is produced and performed by the Minnebarista Production Company, comprised of a bunch of assorted nuts, many of whom met each other online through Match.com, Chemistry.com, Meetup.com, Facebook or LinkedIn. Minnebarista also features improv comedians trained at The Brave New Institute and Comedy Sportz. This is an updated and improved version of last year's Fringe hit. Last year, between the several Meetups that Jacquie (with a Q) was part of, I think we had 50 people at the show and maybe 15 or so joined the cast for a post party. Let's do it again. The show is at 7. Let's gather at 6:30 or so. Jacqui will have us seated together. Afterwards we'll head out to Bedlam for drinks and that fab party. Just like LA. Tickets are $12 plus a Fringe badge. This is also listed on Twin City Nightlife.

Got people coming from multiple meetups. I'll be there around 6:30 / 6:40. Since I'll be using a volunteer pass, I can't get in until 10 minutes before. Jacquie will have an area reserved for us. You can find me by looking for Sarah (she has a picture). I will wear a dark blue (navy I guess) polo and greenish (olive I think they call it) shorts. At least I think I will. Let me check my laundry... yeah, we're good.

You all are so awesome to help support us! If you can't make the show this night, please consider one of the other four showings:

    Tuesday 8/10 8:30 pm
    Thursday 8/12, 5:30 pm
    Friday 8/13, 4:00 pm
    Saturday 8/14, 10 pm

I would love to share this one-of-a-kind experience with you. I can't BELIEVE we are doing Fringe again. So cool!
