Type Brigade №46
Type Brigade is Vancouver’s typography meetup. Join us at Bench on September 19th for our next event!
• Doors: 6:30PM
• Talks begin: 7:00PM
Kristin Liu – Fluevog
Kristin Liu has been a graphic designer in Vancouver for the last 15 years. Currently she’s the Lead Graphic Designer in the marketing department at John Fluevog Shoes. She’ll be talking about how working as an in-house designer at Fluevog for the past eight years has changed some of her preconceived notions, geeking out about a couple of type-based projects that she still likes, championing failure, and oversharing about how she incorporates her passion for dogs into her work.
Takayuki Imagawa – Independent illustrator and designer
Previously based in Tokyo, Japan, designer-illustrator Taka brings Type Brigade a talk on some hard-won lessons about consistency, self-promotion, and balancing two seemingly incompatible pieces of being an independent designer.
