With the help of the Andrew Wade Visual Analytics Challenge Program, we will be hosting our first Tableau User Group meeting for staff and faculty of UBC on December 12th from 2:00-3:30 PM in the Trail Room suite 470, Irving K Barber (4th floor). Tableau is an analytics software package that allows you to visually explore your data and create interactive visual reports, allowing you to more easily gain insight into your data and communicate your results. See www.tableausoftware.com for more info on Tableau.
Come and see how Tableau is being used by other organizations. We will present a few tips, tricks and lessons learned and shared by customers at the Tableau Customer Conference 2012.
The AW VA Challenge Program will present several projects where Tableau has been applied to different domains as well as talk about how different groups can leverage the AW VA Challenge program to build Visual Analytics into their work flow.
This is meant to be an informal event to increase collaboration and share ideas on how different groups can benefit from Tableau and Visual Analytics in general. Anyone is encouraged to make a short presentation (5-10min) on how they are currently using Tableau.
If you plan to attend please RSVP here. Refreshments will be provided.
