Welcome! Please take a moment to tell us your "ukulele story!" A brief tale on how you came to be a part of the ukulele movement. This will be posted on your profile to entertain and inspire other potential members!

My wife took me to World of Strings in Long Beach for my birthday a few years ago and told me to pick out a present. After saying "no" to a banjo, she said "yes" to the much mellower sound of the Kala travel uke I started strumming. And that was that. After spending a few months as the weirdo with the uke at a bluegrass meetup, one of the members told me about the uke jams at Island Bazaar.

Shirley and all the folks here are great, and the group play-alongs are a lot of fun. I would live at Island Bazarr if I could.
