Their Eyes Were Watching God brings to life a Southern love story with the wit and pathos found only in the writing of Zora Neale Hurston. This classic story of a woman's journey has since its 1978 reissue become perhaps the most widely read and highly acclaimed novel in the canon of African-American literature.

"I am the cat who walks by herself and all places are alike to me" Janie walks her journey in landscapes strange to us, the small Black communities of northern Florida and "de muck".

But the journey manages to be very much unique to Janie and also something we all can relate to. Wonderful observation wonderful writing. Thanks to everybody for coming out
