Meet and Greet JAM!

Come jam and meet the other musicians in the group.

YOU MUST ATTEND THIS OPENED JAM BEFORE BEING PARTNERED IN A BAND AND PLAYING OUT IN THIS GROUP.

You don’t need to be an expert musician to be in this group and perform out, but you will need to be good enough to play in a band.

At this meetup, only four musicians will play at a time, so we can actually hear what each person is playing. As such, playing time will be limited. The main focus is to meet and hear everyone play so we can partner up in bands.  It's a group meetup jam, not a typical open jam.

Hopefully, people will choose more interesting and/or current songs to play in bands.  But for now, so everyone is on the same page, we will be playing these well-known classic songs at the jam:

1) Zeppelin's "Rock n' Roll"
2) Who's "Summer Time Blues"
3) Cream's "Crossroads"
4) Beatles "Day Tripper"

And for those looking for something more challenging: "Purple Haze" and "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love."

I look forward to seeing everyone! Rock on!

I ask that people contribute $5 towards the studio fee at the jam, thanks.

Even though only 17 people of the 39 attended, there were enough dedicated musicians to start things rolling. I'd say we're 3/4 there. I'll be able to pick up the extra musicians without too much difficulty. Thanks everyone for coming.

Hopefully, this group will find it's way to a good run. Playing loud isn't going to help form any musical bonds. "It's the singer, not the song", is always the #1 rule.

I play the upright bass. I have a pickup... Can I play or is this strictly electric bass? Recently jammed with Workingmans Dead Jam...Love to rock out with my bass...
