Welcome to Scotland's biggest and busiest social group for gay and bi men! If you're looking for something a bit different from the gay scene then Unscene Edinburgh is for you. We're all about meeting up in real life to do great stuff, so when you join you'll need a recent face pic of yourself as your profile picture. (Best not doing this on the phone app) This will help us recognise you when you're attending Unscene events.
Join us if you're bored of the scene, or maybe you're non-scene. We welcome anyone who's looking for a break from the usual routine, to come and hang out, make new friends, meet interesting folk, explore the city and the outdoors, and have fun whilst doing a wide variety of activities.
Think after work pub meets, midweek dinners, Sunday morning brunches, coast walks, canoeing, bowling, rock climbing, Munro's, cycling, quizzes and cinema. Plus all the great one-off events that Edinburgh offers!
Everything you've ever wanted to do, but never quite got there. Well now you can!
Who we are:
This is a group where we leave judgement at the door, we respect your individuality and encourage you to find an interest in things that you'd never have thought you'd do before. We'll do our utmost to make you feel welcome, and if you've never ventured out and met folk on your own, then now is the time - you really couldn't find a friendlier bunch.
Who we're not:
We're not a group that's anti scene, and we don't carry bitchy attitudes. We welcome single guys and couples. We're not about hooking up, but if you do manage to find the love of your life, great! Oh and we expect an invite to the wedding!
Photo and profile policy
As the group is not about hooking up with other guys, please keep your profile pic and bio clean. And, as we're all about meeting up in real life, and only members can see who's in the group, we expect everyone to use their first or full name and have a recent face pic. Best to log in to the Meetup site direct and not via Facebook, Google or another site which might upload a profile pic that isn't your face pic. If showing your face would create a difficulty for you then please get in touch and tell us. Otherwise, to join Unscene and attend an event, you must have your name and recent face pic on your profile.
