What we’re about

Volunteers wanted in Central Park!

Upstream — Friends of Central Park meet on the last Sunday of every month to plant native trees, clear weeds from the Mururoa stream and increase public enjoyment and access to the park.

Central Park is situated close to the city in a triangle between Brooklyn Road and Owhiro Road and has been described as the jewel in the crown of Wellington!

Currently the jewel is undergoing some polish and rejuvenation with the help of Friends of Central Park. You can be part of this community effort. Everyone is welcome – coffee, tea and delicious snacks provided! Bring your own gloves.

Numbers at working bees usually exceed what you see on Meetup, as there's a number of regulars who just turn up if available.
