Vibrant San Diego rally/walk for more bikable SD

Promote a walkable, bikable, accessible, train-rideable VIBRANT SAN DIEGO!

I plan to ride my bike from my home to this event and then join the walk where it starts at University and 32nd Street (in front of Walgreens), and concludes at University and Mississippi (in front of Albertsons). If others are along my route (from SW La Mesa - near HWY) maybe we can ride there together!

Join Mayor Bob Filner, active transportation advocates, climate activists, health organizations, and environmental justice advocates!

This rally and community walk is approximately one mile. Bring the kids! Bring your friends! Bring anyone who is interested in increasing mobility and decreasing our City's reliance upon cars for transportation.

Let's show our neighbors and leaders we want a better San Diego for a VIBRANT economy and healthy city!

Great event and great to have the Mayor speak at it! Just wish we could have had a bigger turnout to show the demand there is for better a more bikable San Diego. If our representatives don't hear from we the people, we can't blame them for not doing what we want them to!

Wait! This is a WALK to promote a more bike-able SD. Why not a bike ride?

Hi Wylie, It was to promote a walkable, bikable, accessible, train-rideable VIBRANT SAN DIEGO - I just couldn't fit all that in the event name. Many of us rode our bicycles there. It was a great event. We really need to take advantage of the fact that we now have a Mayor who is so supportive of these goals and who spoke out in support of these goals at the start of the event!

Sounds great Angela. I would love to attend the next bike-able event as long as I am free.
