Utah Fathers' Rights Meetup Group Pages

The Utah Fathers' Rights Meetup Group is an online parental rights group for connecting family rights advocates and organizations in Utah together - with each other, with more information, and with other resources. Our group has a particular focus on defending the family in the war being waged against it by the unholy alliance of the divorce industry and rising misandrism. We cannot allow the family to fall any further into disrepair. Families are not up for sale and it's time we take back our country from the worst form of terrorism today - the war on the family that's tragically so often no better recognized than by divorcing or divorced fathers and their children who are left to wonder where we are and what happened to us.

The harsh wakeup that so often divorcing fathers have to this attack on the family is perhaps best described by Political Scientist Dr. Stephen Baskerville in his new book TAKEN INTO CUSTODY: The War Against Fathers, Marriage, and the Family who writes: "...the astonishing but incontrovertible fact is that with the exception of convicted criminals, no group in our society today has fewer rights than fathers. Even accused criminals have the right to due process of law, to know the charges against them, to face their accusers, to a lawyer, to a trial, and to expect knowingly false accusations to be punished. A father can be deprived of his children, his home, his savings, his future earnings, his privacy, and his freedom without any of these constitutional protections. Once a man has a child, he forfeits his most important constitutional rights. And mothers are not immune."

And beyond Professor Baskerville's work we have many others like Dr. Charles E. Corry who in his recent newsletter entitled Taken into custody, tortured and outraged writes "Unquestionably the future is grim for most of our children as currently only about 15 out of 100 are born into and reach age 18 in an intact family." More of this newsletter can be found in our "About Us" page similarly entitled Taken into custody, tortured and outraged.

Make a difference right now to end the presumptive sole custody we have today and help defend parental rights from increasing government enmeshment in the family. Sign the ACFC petition for Shared Parenting and sign the petition for a constitutional amendment that protects the vital child-parent relationship from unreasonable government intrusion:

Here's a segment of video footage from a 8/2/2007 meeting for non-custodial parents that Utah Senator Bell made himself available for. Decide for yourself whether Senator Bell cares more about families or if it's really the money made from severing a parent's natural relationship with their children as an excuse to justify plundering that parent that he cares more about:

In the move from welfare state to police state that we have now, one should wonder what the ultimate toll on society of the government bred, manufactured, and perpetuated fatherlessness of America is: "Welfare reform in the United States has shifted the role of welfare agencies from distributing money to collecting it - not from taxpayers but from divorced fathers. Despite the stereotype of the 'deadbeat dad' as a wealthy playboy squiring around his new trophy wife in a bright red Porsche, federal officials have acknowledged that most unpaid child support is uncollectible because it is owed by fathers who are as poor as or poorer than the mothers and children." Meanwhile, what little is known on the total cost of fatherlessness has been summarized by various groups including the National Fatherhood Initiative in it's web page entitled "The Father Factor" for which a copy of this data is available on our website and the numbers are frightening.

This website provides members with a single calendar of related events and other benefits that makes easier like space to share files of common interest (such as flyers and business cards for getting the word out about our cause). For more reasons to join, see our list of ads page. Becoming a member of the Utah Fathers' Rights Meetup Group demonstrates the interest and size of our cause. Please see the "Join Utah Fathers' Rights Meetup Group" sign up section above and enter a login name, your email address, and a password to join today. Joining demonstrates your concern and gives you access to lots more information including information on relevant events and suggestions on what you can do to help our future.

There are a variety of great related groups, organizations, and efforts in Utah for which this webspace seeks to make interested citizens more aware of:
Finally, here's a very touching and inspirational story of the loving bonds between a boy and his dad:
