HOW IT WORKS
Every third Thursday we'll meet in the evening to talk about a UX/UX related design book. It would of course be great if you get round to actually reading the book; however, if you only manage to read parts of it, that is totally fine, too. We will provide a short summary at the beginning to refresh your memory and to make sure everyone can take part in the discussion.
WHAT'S THIS MONTH'S BOOK?
It is Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think, Revisited: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability".
WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENS AT THE UxVIENNA BOOK CLUB?
After a short round of introductions, we will jump right in with a summary of the book’s main topics. We then rate the book from 1 to 5 stars. For the discussion, we have some questions prepared–if you get a chance, we would love for you to also think of some questions or topics you want to discuss.
And last, but not least: every 2nd meetup, we will vote for the next two books to read. Please think of some suggestions. That can be books you recommend or books you wanted to read yourself, anything really - as long as it is relevant to UX/design.
You can add your suggestions here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/bookshelf/773074-ux-vienna-book-club
Since most UX books are in English, we will mostly stick to English - if everybody speaks German, too, we can mix it up :)
HOW ABOUT FOOD AND DRINKS?
We will provide some drinks and small snacks. For proper food, we’ll order dinner at the beginning of the evening.
